Hmm well van Wilder is continuing but I don't think he'll be much help if he returns to the peloton

Why are you implying that the riders who usually ride for UAE are so unprofessional they'll ride for their trade team rather than their national team?

Because we know they will. However Fabio Christen will apparently not ride for Pidcock.

Seems to have calmed down, great stuff, bit of cleaning I think with the cycling on in the background, as it should always be.

Hindley was a minute down on the peloton after his wheel change. I consider that 'done' for him as well. You can't have these little mishaps anywhere in this race.

Who do you think Vermeersch will ride for?
That was a rethorical question.
Vermeersch already knew what to do before the start: set the pace before mount Kigali (he isn't even supposed to race beyond that climb). That's something that is as beneficial for Pogacar as for Remco, so there is no conflict of interest and thus not really relevant when discussing country teams vs. trade teams.

I think Pogacar has 3 realistic possibilities for a rogue satellite rider who is realistic enough to be there deep

V$ne, who will command a huge price after his recent wins
Sivakov, who the Belgians will just assume is Slovenian and not let go anyway after last years antics
Christen, who will agree to do it and then just forget what he's supposed to be doing after 20 seconds and go on the attack

Ivo might not last long enough
