Hindley was a minute down on the peloton after his wheel change. I consider that 'done' for him as well. You can't have these little mishaps anywhere in this race.
Because it already happened in the past. So I'm not saying anything out of this world
Vermeersch already knew what to do before the start: set the pace before mount Kigali (he isn't even supposed to race beyond that climb). That's something that is as beneficial for Pogacar as for Remco, so there is no conflict of interest and thus not really relevant when discussing country teams vs. trade teams.Who do you think Vermeersch will ride for?
That was a rethorical question.

So we’ll all find it completely normal if Roglic would ride for Evenepoel later in the race?Vermeersch already knew what to do before the start: set the pace before mount Kigali (he isn't even supposed to race beyond that climb). They're no team mates. I know they will be, but there is no comparison at the moment. You could even argue Roglic will be Remco's intra-team competition which could be worse than being in a different team.So we’ll all find it completely normal if Roglic would ride for Evenepoel later in the race?
You act as though people always ride for the trade teams at worlds when it really isn't the case very often.Vermeersch already knew what to do before the start: set the pace before mount Kigali (he isn't even supposed to race beyond that climb). No, I don't act like that. My take is that the default behaviour is to follow country team tactics in World's. You read things that simply aren't there. I only argued that some riders simply have no better option to even think about deflecting from those tactics (like Vermeersch), so in those cases, discussing options that aren't there, isn't relevant. You act as though people always ride for the trade teams at worlds when it really isn't the case very often.

Vermeersch is pulling for Belgium. They shouldn't say now as it's for some other reason. His teammates had already made a gesture. You act as though people always ride for the trade teams at worlds when it really isn't the case very often.
Or the other way round 😁So we’ll all find it completely normal if Roglic would ride for Evenepoel later in the race?
Well I do remember the Belgians having their torches and pitchforks out in 2020.You act as though people always ride for the trade teams at worlds when it really isn't the case very often.

On the case of Vermeersch.... it would be unforgivable of him to ride for Pog here. He is Belgian and they have Remco in the team, that is his leader.
I dont know why people think this is a thing.
Wellens seem in really bad form after a long season.Ofcourse it would be. Vermeersch could have taken the Wellens route if he did not want to ride for Remco against Pogacar. Which i do not agree with (wellens decision), but it's considered acceptable.
