The UK will go to war to save May's reputation and secure a 2020 win, sorry, 'protect Gibraltar's sovereignty'. Ridiculous behaviour akin to the more senile dictators.

We shall fight on the beaches... of Benidorm.

Hrotha and other Spaniards, I imagine we have made ourselves a laughing stock in Spain right now.

More deeply disturbing news from Syria.

At least 58 people have been reported killed in what witnesses claim was a chemical weapons attack in northern Syria, as world leaders discuss ending the conflict in Brussels.
Activists posted video online claiming to show the moment the bombs struck, alleging they were dropped by Syrian air force helicopters as clouds of smoke rose into the air.

It came little over a week after another alleged chemical attack hit a hospital in the town of Latamneh, just 14 miles away.

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), which supports the facility, said a bomb dropped by a helicopter struck the entrance on 25 March.

The Syrian regime it wasn't them. The Russian the same.
It's strange that no-one seems to know who's jet fighters and helicopters are operating in Syria.

Probably it was staged in a Hollywood studio, paid by Soros and supported by MSF and Amnesty.

It was obviously the White Helmets. Notice that they already had gas masks in the article. CONNECT THE DOTS.

In the interest in balance, the likes of McCain using this story to say "I told you so" about USA military intervention to depose Assad being the best solution are also repugnant.

....question, how many maybes and alleges does it take to make a dot ?.....you know the stuff you are using to make connections with...and btw the expert working in his pajamas at the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights is still a cheap shill working in his pajamas....and nice to see the White Helmets on the scene ...its never a real party, uhhh, massacre without those clowns around....geez all we are missing is Bellingcat to make it a winning trivecta.....

....btw got a giggle out of your balance thingee....nice try, but you couldn't be balanced if your life depended on it... for the record, rabid partisan hacks by definition can never be balanced, not part of their job description eh....

Cheers

if you said, you dont agree or the your sources point to a different story , then, you'd sound as a person with a genuinely different opinion. a totally respectable option most posters here take

but the instant, accusatory affront of a poster blutto with a different opinion points to huge chip a poster's shoulder.

blutto is a canadian ukrainian with a lot of knowledge and gripe of the russian misdeeds against his folks.you dont really know blutto. he does not deserve being insulted a stooge of russia (very not smart) or called a hypocrite only b/c his opinion on the syrian war is different.

I seem to be reading a lot more about Ukro Nazis than any criticisms of Russia of late. To be honest I don't know how anyone can make sense of what is happening in the Middle East with any confidence or Turkey for that matter.

are you reading only this forum for the news about russia/ukraine and the middle east ? i hope you dont.

if anyone could make sense much less to really know what is going on there and there, it would be probably some intelligence folks.

the way i try to learn is by reading as diverse the sources as i can. including the diametrically contradictory...when i posted about the ukrainian govt stupid blockade, it was b/c most sources pointed the stupidity...when i post (or dont) about the syrian or iraqi civilian sufferings, it is b/c the independent sources i trust say something meaningful imo. i never - prove me wrong - quoted the well biased sources like cnn, rt, foxnews, sputnik, or even certain blogs i like.

when you hear my opinion which often falls against the main stream it is b/c thought thru it. do i have a biased ? absolutely. but i still feel like ONLY reading the sources confirming my biases isn't informative nor very intelligent.

The double standard is obvious to anyone that is following the thread. While on your vacation, blutto posted multiple articles about US killing civilians. No caveats, no fog of war uncertainty. Syria uses chemical weapons and all of a sudden there is no accountability. There is no fog of war when it comes to chemical weapons IMO.

You seem to be the one concerned with my vocation. Are you familiar with that word?

Blutto said that I was in league with ISIS... that I am a hack.... that I am a cretin...
And you have called me much worse. But way to try to play the victim. The problem with these threads are the instigators who jump into discussions that they are not a part of and picking fights.

....well some had question marks, some talked about agencies being overwhelmed by the rise in US bombings....and then there is this one which I think deserves another look-see....

....and so on, and on , and on....and all along the tail wagging the dog.....

“Civilian deaths from US-led airstrikes hit record high under Donald Trump”

The US has a long record in every land it has invaded of careless airstrikes hitting civilian targets.

The record goes back to Vietnam and continues through Afghanistan to Iraq. Hospitals, schools, villages, everything you can imagine over the decades
.

It took the corporate press almost a couple of days to even report this particular event, which could be read about in Russian sources almost immediately after it happened.

Now, you are busy with the sort of nonsense of "how could this happen"?

Simple, the US has never been especially careful about who it bombs. Never. Remember, even in Serbia they bombed civilian targets like the national broadcaster's offices?

Yet when Russia was taking heroic measures to assure accuracy in Syria - measures which included specialist soldiers on the ground risking their lives to double check the legitimacy of targets before they were bombed - you regularly reported them as carrying out brutal atrocities.

I recall the aid truck convoy that was attacked near East Aleppo, you and others went on for days, falsely, asserting it was Russia.

In fact, we know it was the Al-Nusra forces in Aleppo, forces holding civilian hostages who did that horrible act and many others.

There had been another bombing incident within days before which you also falsely reported as the responsibility of Russia too.

By the way, the same Al-Nusra proxy army of terrorists doing those things in Aleppo has long been supported by Britain, Israel, America and others in the effort to destroy Syria's legitimate government and ruin the country the way Iraq was ruined by direct invasion.

Of course, that is only one small part of this whole filthy effort in Syria. We have the idiot White Helmets - who are in fact an organization of Al Qaeda terrorists well supported through foreign government agencies to resemble a genuine NGA for relief agency and given a lot of false positive publicity - regularly praised for nothing they've done
.

You know these creeps have even been captured in pictures setting-up fake horror scenes with children in make-up to shoot propaganda videos. Of course, the corporate press used some of the faked video images as though they were authentic.

Fake news everywhere you look.

....and last and most certainly not least....

Added comment:

Trump has been trumped by the Pentagon and the CIA.

We have, regrettably, no reason to expect any important changes now in the long-running Obama horrors of the Middle East killing at least half a million people and creating an international refugee crisis, or in the senseless promotion of hostility towards Russia.

A long series of phony scandals about Russia and dossiers, etc, have brought a man who might have proved a genuine reformer in these matters to a screeching halt. Such is the power of America's unelected government which serves as the bones and sinews of the American empire.

He has been left no freedom of movement in America's foreign policy by the people who actually control it, the unelected psychopaths in the Pentagon and at Langley Virginia.

Lovers of peace and democratic rights have nothing to celebrate here.

But I have to say it is just more shabby stuff featuring his name with this bombing event. Why? Because you are using a horrible event to continue the relentless attacks you made on him before he was even elected

Cheers

Even the Russians admit that there were chemical weapons involved. And nothing that the USA has done in the past, present, or future excuses the Assad regime for using chemical weapons on their own people.

Footage from Khan Sheikhoun following the incident on Tuesday showed civilians, many of them children, choking and foaming at the mouth.
"All the evidence points to the Assad regime," UK Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson said in Brussels. He called for a "thorough and urgent international investigation".
German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel condemned the "barbarism" of using chemical weapons, and said Russia should do everything to clarify what had happened as soon as possible.
Hasan Haj Ali, commander of the Free Idlib Army rebel group, told Reuters news agency: "Everyone saw the plane while it was bombing with gas."
Local journalists say there are no military positions in the town itself but an array of broadly aligned rebel groups controlling the area surrounding it.

I didn't say that you called me a sociopath. It was insinuated by saying stuff about how I am faking concern for the children dying in Syria and that I have falsified my academic credentials to score points on a freaking cycling message board. If you want me to document all the other vile stuff you said about me, I suggest that we take it to the sidebar thread.

I'm glad we all agree that it is time to take the Democratic parties and McCain / Grahams policy towards syria and get this war started immediately. This is exactly what we need to do is "draw a red line on this" the next next next Next time syria uses chemical weapons we are not going to stand for it.

"keep it Kool" said that the line had been drawn and assad better not cross it. If he does then shame... on him.

The Euros appear to be concerned about this. Maybe they can send a lot of their own boots on the ground. Bonus: start the "necessary" fight with evil Vlad themselves. This frees the US up to pull our guys out to mind our own business or alternatively, focus attention on Fat Kim when he inevitably throws his tantrum because Xi is at Mar-a-lago and he wasn't invited.

Pretty transparent tactics.

I see Blutto and Python are making friends and influencing people. Displaying their impressively unbiased opinions that they seem to have been sent by email by the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation.

I particularly enjoy Pythons impressively unbiased and informed opinions on Ukraine.

I have good news from the Ukrainian front though, the IMF will support Ukraine:
http://www.imf.org/en/News/Articles/2017/04/03/na040417-ukraine-receives-imf-support-but-must-accelerate-reforms

Keep inserting sanity in this thread djpbaltimore. Don't let Blutto and Python get to you. Most people see the propaganda, they just don't have time to take up the argument. And Python can get quite abusive.

I'm horrified by the gas attack in Idlib. To me it seems like it was a Nerve agent, and that is way out of line. The Russians came up with this story that a facility for poisoned munitions was hit by the Syrians.

Thats usually a sign that the Russians or one of their allies have done something they are accused of. My guess is that the dispersal of the poison will contradict their theory.

Great Idea. If "keep it kool" was in office that would be a good Drone target of opportunity. Sadly we are stuck with copperhead and if he try's anything then that will be starting a war.

Better just to leave those planes as is.

Good idea though.
