Sorry. I have a hard time remembering which truth to believe in. There is the "he's a secret muslim" truth. Then there is the "his birth certificate is fake" truth. There is always the ever popular "scary black man" truth. Let's not forget the "he's a socialist out to destroy America" truth. It is too hard to keep all the crack brained theories straight.

How about asking whether years of liberal education and a familial support system that prefers socialism might have effected the political ideology of the President?

I will always remember was a political science professor who started the semester showing the entire class his communist party card. During the semester I could not do better than a "B" on every test. The tests were essays and often called for commentary on political ideology. Since I had much better grades in all of my other classes I considered the possibility that the professor had a distaste for my political thought rather than my ability to present political theory. As a result, I decided to write a term paper from a socialist standpoint - I got the "A" and, I believe, the answer to what he was looking for in handing out grades.

I know a lot of people in college are not all that interested in politics beyond what is mentioned by their favorite actor, singer, or news commentator. Very few teachers come from a conservative background so it is possible that the President has reached the conclusion that he does not favor the current political system in the United States (it appears that reality may be setting in to some extent, given his actions on the War in Afghanistan).

I do not believe that a person has to think that the President was born in Kenya, or that he was a practicing Muslim, to come to the conclusion that he has a socialist agenda; the evidence would be the politics of the majority of large dollar supporters most of whom support a hard left turn towards state socialism.

Top of the page is your post that I asked the above question in response too. Under that is what I guess is your answer. My question had to do with your statement that the President of the United States hates the country and wants to 'wound it in a way that it can never fully recover'.
