Well today Cavendish's chances dropped significantly. I guess he'll have to do ToB instead now, if they let him start. But he has to be in his absolute top shape to be able to contend this race and I don't think he'll get there. That doesn't mean Sky won't have the world champion though...

Gilbert is riding for BMC next year :p

I'd love to see a national team TTT. Even if it was just 6 guys per team or something, to make it possible to get most teams in.

I think there would be some cracking teams. Spain, Italy and Australia could be hard to beat though. Actually Norway would also have a strong team.

They used to have a World Championships and Olympics in TTT for national teams before they switched to ITT instead in 1995 or something like that. Back then they had 4 riders per team.

It will be difficult to find the required riders for many countries, even six. Some riders will have to do ITT,TTT and Road race, taking a heavy toll. And for a country like luxembourg, the Schlecks will have to be part of their TTT.

Imagine that!:D:D

He did say something about the Tour of Britain. But based on what's been said here, it may be unlikely.

I don't imagine that Luxembourg would bother entering a team?

Which is probably why they made it trade teams instead of national teams for the TTT

If you're going to have a TTT make it Nations otherwise its pointless calling it the Worlds, just re-instate the Eindhoven TTT.

Think they would look to keep it too as few riders as possible otherwise few nations would have enough riders to make it worthwhile.

Is he badly injured? If not he can ride the rapidly improving TOB along with Thor, Cav, Goss.

Broken fingers... dunno how bad that is on the cycling-scale-of-assessing-how-bad-an-injury-is.

+ a wound on his chin which needed stitching and some road rash... though I guess that [road rash] doesn't really count...

Kinda hard to brake with broken fingers probably =/

Too bad for Matti, entire season wasted.

But then who gets to wear Arc en Ciel?
It would be awesome if one team was allowed Arc en Ciel in ttt's
