Well today Cavendish's chances dropped significantly. I guess he'll have to do ToB instead now, if they let him start. But he has to be in his absolute top shape to be able to contend this race and I don't think he'll get there. That doesn't mean Sky won't have the world champion though...

How many will take that seriously? National teams would be much more interesting.

I'd love to see a national team TTT. Even if it was just 6 guys per team or something, to make it possible to get most teams in.

I think there would be some cracking teams. Spain, Italy and Australia could be hard to beat though. Actually Norway would also have a strong team.

They used to have a World Championships and Olympics in TTT for national teams before they switched to ITT instead in 1995 or something like that. Back then they had 4 riders per team.

I agree, UCI will want Cav (and Goss for that matter) at the worlds in form.

Think they would look to keep it too as few riders as possible otherwise few nations would have enough riders to make it worthwhile.
