Regardless, today's scenario actually proves my point, they were originally planning for Boom to lead out Matthews because he is considered the sprinter out of the two, but Boom was very strong on the day. Thus, this changes little for my point of view. Good on Boom though. For the Worlds I guess in the end it will come down to who has better legs after 250+ ks.
Ligthart won't even make the last lap, I reckon. I don't think he will be a protected rider.
Then again, I didn't expect Terpstra to be in front in the last km either.
