Sicard left Kreder in the climb. I think he's gonna make it. This time seems like France really has a new Hinault.

E: He has 42 seconds to the chasing group. 15 seconds to Kreder. Vichot in the group ready to snatch the win in case Sicard is caught.

Geez Louise don't you think that's a little steep to be expecting that much from the guy? :D

Maybe but the frenchies are hyping guys who really don't have any results to back it up. The guy is clearly the strongest U23 in the world right now.

In terms of results he's the strongest, but in terms of ability, I think Kritskiy showed himself to be better this year

Hinault comparison's already, to me he seems more like an Anquetil ;)? He'll have a hard time competing with Pierre Roland, or is Roland already in the trash?

The french don't actually rave about Sicard that much. They're much more excited about Le Bon, who's quite a bit younger.

I hope what happened to the Australians in the U-23 and Womens RR isn't a blueprint for tomorrow, lots of pace setting and riders in most of the right moves, but no-one with batteries left when it comes to the final crunch?

Can't believe neither SBS or ONE-HD covered todays races, there's got to be more Aussies into cycling than Nascar :(

Anyone still thinking this race isn't hard, is now shown wrong...

And anyone still thinking Hagen stands a chance here.. too.

Jeez, give it a rest. Your blasphemous opinions concerning the Prophet Edvald Boasson Hagen, peace be upon him, are well known.

For the record, i still think that St. Edvald, peace be upon him, stands a chance tomorrow. He won't be the favorite, but I still think he can place very highly.

Frame these words, for I am unlikely to repeat them often :D

"I agree with Dekker_Tiffosi." Hagen will be nowhere

I bet you €10 he won't even be in the top 20.

I don't think it was ever a realistic proposition that EBH will do well in this years worlds. The only people who think that have simply underestimated the toughness of the course.

And after his performance on thursday it's obvious he's pretty tired after the fall season he's had so I think it might be likely that he won't finish the race.

My predictions FWIW;

1/ Gilbert. Carrying my £5 at a happy 11/1.

2/ A total surprise.

3/ A total surprise.

(I'm not being clever-clever with 2 & 3, just have a very odd feeling about this race. Maybe Fedrigo and Breschel).
