Sergey Lagutin (Vacansoleil) got away on the final climb, and is still alone on the descent.

if he makes it to bartanda alone he has a chance as the slope is getting steeper there and the peloton will have to negotiate the road space...still i doubt he is getting away because the surface is perfect fora high speed chase and there is that 2 km flat at the end where the sprinters' team will go bananas.

Hes done for.. sprint finish coming up.

Wiggins lost touch after a wheel change, but back in the main field again. I guess that will have ruined Skys chances of the sprint :/

Not the best sprinting talent i've ever seen but well done Hunter again.
Greame Brown specializes in winning nothing as usual.

Texstrong versus Wiggians (sic) the rematch.. yes I also forecast Bradley to "kick ***" and win that TT.

So there was a 5 second split at the front, though I didn't see any overall contenders in the front group. But I did notice something about the main bunch, starting at position 23:

23 Jan Barta (Cze) Team Netapp 0:00:05
24 Salvador Guardiola (Spa) Spanish National Team
25 Artur Ershow (Rus) Russian National Team
26 Paolo Tiralongo (Ita) Astana
27 Martin Velits (Svk) Team HTC - Columbia
28 Steven Kruijswijk (Ned) Rabobank
29 Jack Bauer (NZl) Endura Racing
30 Andreas Schillinger (Ger) Team Netapp
31 Bradley Wiggins (GBr) Team Sky
32 Andrey Zeits (Kaz) Astana
33 Henning Bommel (Ger) German National Team
34 Andreas Klöden (Ger) Team Radioshack
35 Lance Armstrong (USA) Team Radioshack
36 Gregory Rast (Swi) Team Radioshack

37 Danny Pate (USA) Garmin - Transitions
38 Denis Menchov (Rus) Rabobank
39 Stef Clement (Ned) Rabobank

40 Haimar Zubeldia (Spa) Team Radioshack
41 Sergey Lagutin (Uzb) Vacansoleil Pro Cycling Team
...
71 Morris Possoni (Ita) Team Sky 0:03:39

1) Wiggins isolated (no one from Sky in the front at all - next guy from Sky is at 3:39)
2) Armstrong right behind him, with two protectors, three if you count Zubeldia
3) Menchov in there, but with only one guy with him, though there were other Rabobanks in the front group and around.

Significant?

As far as I know, Wiggins had a wheel change, and the riders that where with him worked to get him back about 10k or so before the end and then dropped off.
