cioni, posthuma, rasmussen, evans, miguel martinez

all former mtb riders and average downhillers

and bike handling has nothing to do with great downhilling, boom is fantastic bike handler but average downhiller

There's a difference between bike handling skills while sitting in a peloton and bike handling skills in a descend. But you definitely need bike handling skills in a descend. Boom is perhaps too afraid to take big risks.

Mountain bike riders tend to not have such great bike handling skills while sitting in the peloton, because there's no such thing in mountainbiking.

wich prooves my point that having great bike handling skills doesn't mean you are a great downhiller

Andy is not relevant really.
I doubt any will lose contact today. Don't get your hopes up over nothing.

I´m not this is where it all started (the discussion)with Ryo saying Andy was good downhill

But it's not because he's lacking bike handling skills. Probably more of a mental thing with a lot of cyclists. Not everyone is as crazy as Phil.

Its simply a stupid generalization which has been proven to be wrong countless times

are you sure that he's able to climb with Roy? this time Roy has only 11km to do after the top, not 40

But they won't exactly be going on the Col d'Aubsique this time, will they? Thor should probably hang on.

This time it's a cat2 climb!

And I don't know what Roy is on, but I want some. Again in a break, unbelievable. And I really mean unbelievable.

You said bike handling skills had nothing to do with being a good descender. It's one of the factors that make a good descender.
