Good idea. People quickly forget the others on the podium so I'll do the same.

Will we have more purchasing power for the TDF game? 4k will hopefully be enough to allow people to still pick riders with realisic podium aspirations but 3k might result in too many shared riders.

It would be interesting to see what the total CQ points of a stronger TDF field is compared to all of the Giro's riders and maybe use that ratio against the points we had for the Giro. I would assume the points would be at least 20% higher?? I think this is beyond my spreadsheet skills.

I'm open to any idea. This is NOT my game. This is OUR game and I'm not even the one who started so whatever you guys will decide on will be implemented (if technically possible). The 3000 limit was based on consultation with Hugo who is the inventor of these games

This is the list of points of starting points (there were a couple of substitutions after this): our 3000 points limit sits nicely within the upper echelons, but not a Man City style exaggerated budget.

Amador was another top rider.

With regards to the budget i too agree that 3k was perfect for the Giro, but the field will be stronger (in both real terms and CQ points) at the tour.

Thanks to Hugo, CQM and particularly Armchair whose tables and pre final stage analysis greatly enhancing my enjoyment of the game (enjoying my day in the provisional overall lead and allowing me to best monitor whether or not I could maintain the podium to go with my 3rd place in the 2011 overall game).

Jonathan Vaughters outscored most of us: the Garmin team had a total CQ point cost of 2720, and returned 1123 points, which would have put him in 25th place.
