De Gendt is going for a stage win, not the overall.

Oh, I know that, but he can climb and time trial. He just needs to believe in him self. He'll be active in breaks thus waste some energy there. This Giro hasn't got enough time trials for him anyway.

...after spending 2 1/2 weeks in the autobus.

Didn't he have a collarbone problem after a crash in the first week? People were impressed that he was carrying on as I recall.

Something I just learned from the Giro presentation is that Taylor speaks some Italian.
He was interviewed from his bike, by Rai.

Something I also learned from Rai.
Pug ugly course, that seems to pass by the local drug rehab centre, judging from the gang of delinquents seen crossing the road.

Paolo Savoldelli thinks it's a technically challenging (mucho cornering) course. A cobbled section, too. If it's slightly wet.........
I thought young Phinney a shoe in, but given his record of falling off, it could all end in tears.

Yes phinney is highly motivated for this stage, he wants the maglia rosa. Just hope he does not fall.

I think gaps will be ratherbig for a prologe.
However, it's ashame that there is not one GC rider who can do well here today. So it'really meaningless for the GC.
