I'm not sure 1t4i even wanted to ride the Giro? They don't have the team to handle 3 GTs in one year.

Plus NetApp probably have better climbers than 1t4i on board (in the land of the blind, etc.)

I agree with you. But if it was up to me, if I had to choose a non-Italian team, it would've been Team Type 1. They're planning to ride the Giro for years and I think that they would do much better than Team NetApp.

Well at least Farnese Vini got to go.

Wait, I can hardly believe that A&S aren't going. The organisers holding their grudge against Di Luca? Sucks for Garzelli, but it may be a timely opportunity for him to give up the Green Jersey chasing.

No Acqua, no Coldeportes. :(

Still, Coldeportes get Lombardia, San Remo and Tirreno, not bad.

I dont think A&S will console themselves with those 3 and no Giro.

I would have liked to be a fly on the wall as the news came through that they were not riding the Giro, lots of colourful language and then all the phone calls to sponsors trying to placate them.

I bet focus bikes a pi$$ed off too.

Net App dont deserve to be there but at least it will be the highlight of their season, what the whole year will gear towards.

But the idea that Greenedge, BMC, Saxobank, RadioshackNissan, Euskaltel-Euskadi, FDJ, Movistar, Lotto Belisol Omega Pharma Quickstep and Rabobank, get to ride a their TDF warmup with c teams, ahead of a team that has Garzelli, Di Luca and Betancur and has lightened up the Giro for almost a decade, and has provided some major entertainment in all recent years at that race, is the most disgusting news I have heard in a while.

The most ****ed off I have been with this sport in years.

Truly painful.

Ok... I demand an investigation to Acquarone... I bet that his bank account had a nice "donation" in the last days...

Seriously? NetApp? are you freaking serious...? Zomegnan where are you!!???
No Betancur, Garzelli, Di Luca, Duarte... bah... Il Giro has lost a lot of appeal for me now... at least I will see Rujano.. but is not enough

Lol, you've been waiting to use this one, haven't you? Genius.

Sergio Henao has just been freed of his main rival for the white jersey. Unless Betancurt now suddenly decides to accept that Liquigas offer after all ;)
That's why I keep complaining that these Colombians should take the ProTour team opportunities. At least he would be riding the Giro.

Well The Killer's career is over. I think he could have done one last good ride at the Giro this year but they snubbed him like he was nothing. Scandalous

I prefer them riding, not sitting out.

A lot of good helpers have become leaders because they have had opportunities when leaders go down or get sick. It is important to be prepared and be there when that happens.

Of course it is better for these Colombians to ride with a Colombian team and wear the national colors, but we can not always have everything.

what a let down on Coldeportes Giro exclusion:( I just do not see the rational behind the invitation to Milan-San Remo where they won't do a thing, and not send them from the Giro where they can provide excitement to the race..... unless of course they (italians) already have some ideas of "who" should win it:(
