If Liquigas provides good support, he can win FW's sprint.

Liege? I don't know... But after the way he bossed it today, why not?

I just think Sagan needs the longer flat stretch to win which is LBL may suit him more

Sagan was obviously tired though, since he is normally a much better sprinter than Gilbert.

Gilbert is very fast and Sagan was working non-stop (alone) for more than 2 km.

He's just "that" good.

Sagan makes cyling boring

There's a difference. Sagan doesn't make cycling boring. Sagan makes cycling PREDICTABLE.

Hence. Everything happens during a race, and at the end, Sagan wins.
The first cycling axiom.

May as well have given him the AGR trophy while they were at it. Hard to imagine a scenario that will end up without him winning.

Yeah but Sagan is at 100% already while others, like Gilbert, will only improve.

It's not only an axiome. That's all about cycling. About a year age (as remember during his wins in Colorado) we already discussed it here: definition of cycling: "Cycling is a sport where Peter Sagan wins".

And yep, not boring for me, despite all the dominance he showed. He mad a brilliant race, whatever would happen he had it all under his control, every single situation. Owned the race.

That's what everybody keep saying since T-A. How come he is able to be at 100% for 2 months?

'Everyone' (I for one never claimed that) was clearly wrong then as Sagan clearly got better throughout the season.

It's my understanding that it's now possible to peak all season. 2 months? Sheesh. Nothing.

Ok, more like 40 days.

My point is, it is naive to think something will change in 3 days. Sagan was stronger than Gilbert today, he will be stronger on Sunday as well.

Agree, Sagan is the favorite. Besides I still don't think Gilbert looks trimmed enough. Still a bit too much weight.

Still. The Cauberg is 'Phil hill' apart from his crap Gold Race in 2012 he's been unbeaten there since 2009.

2009 - Amstel Gold Race (Won the bunch sprint)
2010 - Amstel Gold Race (Dominantly won)
2011 - Amstel Gold Race (Set the fastest time ever after pulling the group)
2012 - World Championships (Rode everyone off his wheel and stayed away for 2 km's until the finish)
