That means Alberto's trying to win three consecutive GT's, which would be quite impressive despite having an off-season between them. Has any other rider ever done this before?

Or it's just nonsense/rumours/wishes from his fans/bad source which means he'll not do the Giro like he planned all along.

Ok, very impressive, but I thought that back then the Vuelta was just a preparation race for other GT's. They also raced much more instead of aiming for one race. If you can now win more than one GT in one year against riders aiming for just one it would be very impressive.(+ the Clinic will crash due to too many posts/sec)
