Galibier and Mont Cenis have been ruled out by authorities. I've got no idea what will be the definitive route, but Galibier is absolutely out. Maybe they can get Mont Cenis back.

Looks totally impossible to get up there with all that snow, you can't see a meter in front of you with that fog too.
Maybe some other option, some other summit? Not easy to change with short notice.

Well done to the commissaire for booting out the RAI motorbike. I spotted some obvious motopacing, I dunno if that was the incident.

This is a pattern of Italian race entourage, often cameraman or journalists, helping Italian riders whilst getting stomped on by the Italian race authorities. This is one reason why the Giro has far more prestige than the Vuelta in which the Spanish authorities cannot or are unwilling to control the race entourage.
