If he has no concussion, then I agree. His team says he has one, so I am basing my opinion on primary sources, not what "several sources" are saying.

At a certain point, Marc Coucke said 'minimum a collarbone fracture'. He is as much of a primary source as OPQS's webmaster, I'd say. Don't take what's written there as gospel. The post on Martin's own website for example doesn't mention a concussion.

Anyway. Maybe we'll know more details eventually, for now let's focus on today's race.

Garmin should hammer the climbs and drop kittel and Kristoff, Millar for yellow!!

*Disclaimer*
I don't expect this at all

I don't think Kristoff climbing much worser than Millar now:rolleyes:

Remember when the doctors and the team allowed Horner to finish that stage a couple of years ago even though he had a concussion and was completely disoriented?

The team wants the rider to stay, the doctor serves the team, not the riders.

Yes I know all of cycling is evil and cares nothing for the riders but citing a separate incident has no value.

If Tony did not start this morning then he's out, he felt fine, they have the medical information not us, they've monitored him and will continue to do so and sadly if need be they can pull him from the race.

Someone already brought up an incident involving Booner. Is that better for you?

Ok, so they're monitoring him. What if he crashed again? Do you have any idea of what the consequences could be? It's just completely reckless, and incredibly selfish of the team.

Sadly I think some of the teams are stupid enough to not push the pace on the climb

Yep, it's their own fault if we have crashes leading into the finishing hill.

yeah, I agree, cannondale, bmc, orica and other puncher teams should start pushing, the problem maybe is that they cannot controll whole race by themselves and are afraid, that once one team starts, other won't help him. I don't know.

No, he doesn't. But then, without the full medical information neither do you other speculating based on what usually happens in a crash.

I'll admit that the Boonen incident has as much relevance to this situation as the Horner one does.

As far as any consequences should he crash again I'm sure that they're all blissfully unware, probably haven't thought about it as they have such little expierence of such things...

I like your typo, Tom Boner.

corsica is such an awesome place to ride a bike. i can't believe it took 100 years for the tour to visit. i hope corsica can get a few stages with some regularity in future editions. i guess the transfers to/from the continent suck
