You know that's not what i said! Putting words in my mouth!

We will have to agree to disagree here Flo all we can do is wait and see what happens and if Ol' Berty proves me very wrong i will issue you with a formal apology.

I'm sorry, I thought you meant

so far it seems his rivals have put in more training time over the winter than Contador
as in he's lazy

Since Conty is far more heavier than Froome
as in he's a fat ***

these guys seem to be putting in a proper effort and actually winning stages.
as in he doesn't care about the race

:D

Contador has been lighting up the race yesterday and today. The consequence is that there's a risk of blowing up, which happened yesterday, and maybe today as well, to some extent.

If he had approached the race like Froome did, he probably could have won, but that's not his style.

Sorry to say, but Froome in videos has attacked plenty of times yesterday and few times today. So that's not totally true.

He attacked once today, as a counter attack I think. Don't know how many times he attacked yesterday. He's not as exciting as Alberto :D but very strong

It looks like you're desperately trying to talk Contador down and make it look like he's looking for excuses that he didn't win. Die hard Contador fans like Flo on the other hand try to see things positive (and maybe find some excuses why he didn't win)...this whole discussion got pointless several posts ago.

Putting in less effort doesn't make you lazy

You can't deny by looking at both pictures of Conty and Froome that Froome is the lighter rider without knowing the stats

All i'm going to say on this now is he BETTER win some other races other than just the Tour de France like he has done in the previous years (except 2012 for obvious reasons).

Froome returned slowly on Contador's more explosive attacks. The only real attack he did was in the final k.

About today's stage, all we read was Contador, Contador, Contador. I'm not a Contador fanboy, nor a Sky fanboy, but to me it seems pretty obvious that the initiative in this race came from Contador.

And by this logic Contador should have beaten Froome Since Conty is far more heavier than Froome i'll admit Purito should have dusted them both but Contador is supposed to be making a point this season i can't stress that enough.

contador is 62 kg and froome is 69

Froome mostly "responded" to attacks and at time did some counter attacks of his own. His race was won yesterday when he countered purito's move. Today he needed defending and he did that well, adding the stage victory to the overall. Good racing by all the top guys. The season is just at the start and for those who have GT aspirations, there is going to be a period after these early short stage races during which they will fine tune their form and work on maximizing their strength. The battles we see now will be studied and analysed. One of the important factor of today's stage is the TST presence at the end.

Ok what are the alternatives?

Who else is to blame? Either he is massively mis-judging his competitors or he just isn't superior strong like he used to be.

yes because contador used to win sprints all the time

As Flo has already pointed out to me and admitted i was wrong, try reading threads thoroughly for a start Mr "Joaquin Rodriguez will never ever be a threat in the over-all at the Tour de France".

One doesn't like the outcome. So let's cook up excuses for one rider and dissect the winning rider's weaknesses. :p They are all no aproximately the same level of preparedness. No one needs Tour of Oman in order to fire at all hazards. Deal with it.

Where did i say he wins sprints all the time? Your talking rubbish.

You are just here to antagonize rather than put forward something to debate, Probably due to the fact i'm British i'd imagine.

Thanks for the updates, was fun to read the last 15 pages :D

So Contador attacked 20 times, what a surprise

If he would have left that bullet on the last climb instead of doing it on the previous one it would have been something else.

One of the most attacking riders in the history of cycling??

Grats to Froome, the dude is doing great.

I just can't wait for T-A, **** paris-nice, T-A FTW lol

Those looking forward to Contador Vs. Froome this season should be very interested in the news that has just come from CAS.

I believe Saxo were the 18th team, is that correct?

oh, lol you sure hold a grudge with your big ego by the looks of it. :)

why don't you look up facts before throwing out factual errors like contador being heavier than froome  anyone with eyes can see froome is way bigger and heavier obviously

I didn';t even know you were british, but it makes sense now with your lack of knowledge about cycling and your contador bashing

If Contador had attacked only once on the last climb, the Sky train would have wheel him in before the finish line. The result would have been: less entertaining stage and Evans would have ended up higher in the GC compared to Contador.

Contador did the right thing, but Froome proved to be the strongest in the race. Simple.
