glad I missed it today
Impressive by Froome. All the work he'had been doing with Cavendish last year paid off
Posing a question now for all the Contador heads. Will Alberto turn into everyone's Little Spartacus ? Attack and attack and always come second but be lauded for the effort ?
In the words of Ricky Bobby "If you're not first, you're last"

Since you post not too much, for Ryo you are probably just a british fan who got interested at cycling in the 2012 Tour and completely doesn't undertand what the real cycling state of things is.HiCadence said:Sounds like Ryo wants to get into a Flo's knickers with the comments he's making in this thread

Sky are not likeable on the board especially Wiggins. But Froome is associated with Wiggins and hence part of kind attidute relates to him too. Nothing new.

I'm allowed to say that right?

This could be Froomes only win this season for all we know, you talk like he is destinied for domination this season. No body knows that, that Wiggins did it last season does not mean Froome will do the same just because he shows som early season form.

How right you are and probably Contador would agree with you. Imagine what Froome must feel, winning his first small race after finishing last in all the grand tours he has ever entered so far in his career. It will be interesting to see how each of them use this result to motivate their future raceswheelie1977 said:general air of devilry on this forum

wheelie1977 said:i think if you go back through all my posts on Froome, you'll not find one reference to me saying he is destined for domination. I did say that in relation to what he could do with a full winter of training with Kerrison, then he had the potential to do a hell of a lot. And remember this was said in the context of posters going on about how Contador would just drop everyone on Green Mountain.
Little perspective here. I'm a gambling man at the end of the day and I'd never make sweeping statements one way or the other for one rider over another. It is February.
Froome, however has just ridden very impressively this week. There is no getting away from that. Next week I'll be talking about someone else.
Dazed and Confused said:If Contador had attacked only once on the last climb, the Sky train would have wheel him in before the finish line. The result would have been: less entertaining stage and Evans would have ended up higher in the GC compared to Contador.
Contador did the right thing, but Froome proved to be the strongest in the race. Simple.

At LAST a competitor worthy of Contador has appeared. This going to be a great season, one for the history books and lasting memories if they both keep on like this.
Praying that neither has crashes or illness and throw it out on the road for us every time they meet. Add in Evans who seems to be coming back, Purito poised on the edge to hit the top step of a GT. Nibali while I Love his grinta just is a step below, like Ryder et al.
This is Great for cycling!!! In this corner we have FroomeDawg who wants the crown and in this corner the defending GT King Alberto....commence the battles!!! I just might die from excitement watching the battles; will need extra heart pills
Cannot wait for video!!!
