Well done Yannick, it took you two years, but you finally made it. Probably podiums the Vuelta now.

Good from Eijssen, some poeple don't rate him high but to me it seems a youngster who is quietly finding his place between the pro's...

Is it the first stage race win for Froome?

He has won stages at le Tour and the Vuelta, but not an overall. (he also wore the red jersey as race leader for one stage)

This race isn't over yet, there is still good possibilities for a further shake up.
Though I think the Skytrain will control the rest of the race well.

Man, your ship jumping is making me dizzy! So you're back on board with Froome huh?:p

No, but I was called *** a few times, having predicted such a scenario.

Yea... maybe I should stop following the sport closely for a few years and return in a few years time... I know someone who chose to do this

Or maybe you could try just enjoying the sport & what it is, rather than needing to live vicariously through the success of another? It's worth a try.

Sounds an interesting end to the stage, shame it was not shown live. Happy to see Purito get the win today.

Purito will win it

This looks like the ONLY call of the winner!!! Kudos HiCadence-Bragging Rights to you.

Everyone wrote Purito off but seems he was just saving for a stage win.

Thats a pretty good result for Cummings. The move to BMC has obviously been good for him.

Late to the party; slept an extra hour this AM. Would have set the alarm if there was a stream :)

Wow sounds like an explosive finale!! Can hardly wait to see some vid of it.

Looks like Purito, Froome, Alberto, Nibali and Evans all will have a fine season if this early form is any indicator and we will have some grand battles this season :)

Froome said in an interview a while back he was coming to win and beat AC and looks as if that is what he will do. Froome is IMO the biggest threat to ACs continued GT dominance.

Just have to Love Purito!!!

I second this post, especially the last sentence. :D
Purito's already in better form than last year and winning, and beating Contador, Froome and Evans bodes well for the Tour.

Btw Yannick Eijssen top 10? He must be peaking here. I bet Ryo didn't see that one coming, just like Barry Markus's podium placings in Qatar.

Early going, but wow, these results bode well for the season.

Purito, Froomey, and Evans all going well. Great for Evans to be going better than last year.

(I think Bertie's admittedly a bit heavy, by his own admission, and starting later this year than usual.)

Yey! thankyou!! :D

Was the logical choice for me since Kat haven't really gotten anything out of this race and the fact that he hasn't wasted any energy on the previous stages AND the fact the finish was deffo Purito territory :) :)

Oh, no use keeping a fake smile on things, its over. The age of Contador is over. Froome has the TDF in the bag for the forseeable future

Yeah, Ryo no doubt saw Froome coming as a once in a generation talent years ago

Just forgot to tell everybody all the talent he saw as he was too busy hyping Colombians that will never get into the WT:rolleyes:

I think you're forgetting 2012 where the board experts taught us very clearly that Sky are peaking too soon.

Since when do hyperactive Evans fanboys count as "experts"?

so Froome trying the whole year at 95-98% thing

Seems so, It worked for Wiggo but Froome being the better climber it should make for more exciting racing.

Yeah maybe exciting for him, not much for the others.
