Drop the insults and the trolling or you will be banned.

I usually let most stuff slide because most stuff is said in the heat of the moment in the middle of a discussion, but insulting and trolling is your M.O. and i won't give that a pass.

Are you really able to produce a decent post that is not an attack or a whine?

“I promise that I and all other riders on our team are clean. We are clean and we work hard and we do hard training always,” said Pourseyedi Golakhour in the post race conference. “Now I am training and doing a lot of hard work. Before we came here we did a training camp in Iran and other big countries. At the moment our country is cold so we went for some hot weather. Right now I am doing a lot of hard work and hard training. I am in a strong team and I will do my best for cycling and to keep cycling every day.”

Hard work. Hard training. Training in hot weather.

Looks like he is taking inspiration from team sky on how to win clean. Too bad no one will believe him :(

It's common knowledge that only the biggest race of the year can be dominated while clean.

Anyway - question - is cycling now in a much better state?

In terms of GT podium or top ten - then no.

Omerta and fear is as bad as ever.

Propaganda is as bad as ever.

The fans are :D

It has gotten worse every year after the team sky miracle began. This year will be no different, as more teams will join the new doping era.. whatever the hell that is.

Sure, there are probably some clean teams out there, but they will be left behind in the autobus.

I think it's ridiculous to be listening to certain teams and riders telling us how great it now is...since when have they told us the truth? It's in their interests to sell this version...sponsors.

Anyway one would think that doping went away with lance the way some carry on.

By the way does anyone actually believe for one second the Ryder story of when he stopped? I mean this is the stuff we are dealing with...yet are told to accept that cycling is changed.

I have no idea what you are trying to say here.

Nevertheless, 2010 and 2011 giro and tour were pretty slow. Nothing super human or mutant about them.

many seem to think garmin are the cool kids of cycling, and jv is the one guy they wanna hang out with.
look at guys like benson, race radio, maserati.
all clever guys with a skeptic eye, but when it comes to garmin it's all rosy.

I totally agree with you. I think they are disgusting. Christian, Talansky, Millar, jv...jonny weltz...all keepers of the omertà in one way shape or form in their time with Garmin. Discredit the whistleblowers.
They got a six month ban in the winter...and then we have Ryder. The hypocrisy of that team is awful.

The biggest concern is how did Vaughters insert himself as some form of non-elected liaison between the riders and Tygart.

I mean what was a witness doing working with Tygart and "truing" up the suspensions?

Beggars belief how that type of intervention was allowed by a witness.

Armstrong did himself no favours by not going to a hearing but what the hell was Vaughters doing?

It also goes a long way to the symbolism of anti-doping in the new clean era. Why should one team owner/manager have such influence on what should be an independent authority?

And, yes, then Ryder. Again, the liaison role with USADA. Very troubling.

Can you refresh my memory on what JV's role was there? And where it was discussed / publicised?

good post Hog. JV has sold his clean image very well.

However, I dont think he is using this as some sort of cover for doping on his team. I havent seen any mutant performance from Garmin that made me raise my eyebrows.

Off topic, but I hope you apply here. http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/cyclingnews-online-production-editor-required-north-america

doping doesn't have to be accompanied by mutant performances, does it?
clearly we aren't going to see any mutant performances from garmin.
it's not what they want. if they dope, they dope low risk. enough to get some results. but little enough to not raise any flags.
anyway, i dont believe in systematic garmin-doping nor do i think jv instigates riders to dope.
but there's no way hesjedal won the giro clean. and jv knows darn well. and yes, imo he's using his clean image to cover for that.

Could Cyclingnews afford me?

My 108 part, Is Sky doping feature will be most riverting.

Followed by a 31 week pictorial of the Dawg hanging onto to motorcycles, going sideways and pushing sprinters.

The website hit count will go through the roof as will the law suits
