That was a pretty nice race, sad that Voeckler lost the sprint but it could be better for the GC.

Great Britain is a lovely country for cycling as far as terrain is concerned. Wouldn't mind to see more racing in Britain!
It really is.
Not much in the way of Alpine HC climbs, but lots of opportunity for Medium Mountain type stages that reward aggressive riding from way out.
no. He closed down the moves he had to. The same goes for Voeckler. The only mistake Samu did was taking too many turns before the tactical racing startedThe Blues said:Entertaining finale with some tactically savvy racing from Sky. Samu rode quite poor tactically; closed down the wrong moves, but it was difficult, of course.

There is fantastic scope for a hilly World Championships in the UK. I live near Bath, and it is a beautiful city with some great, short, steep, ardennes-like climbs as well and would IMO be great for a WC. But the UK has so many steep hills that a semi-classic would be greatwillbick said:Catwhoorg said:Maaaaaaaarten said:Wow I'm only just turning in; looks like a great race!

There really should be a world tour semi-classic race in UK

Looks pretty solid on paper.
I hiked a fair bit in the Caingorms with my fiance when I was doing my post-grad education at Dundee.
Getting crowds in and out could be problematical, but far less so than in the Highlands
