So what should the strategy be tomorrow for Sagan. Try and go for the intermediate or focus on the finishline?

Tao Geoghegan Hart was 15th, 2.10 down. Around 12-13th in gc I think. Great performance from him.

Sagan, what a beast. He deserves to win this race.

Zoidl, the only one of Trek who is worth anything. Good ride by him, and if he hadn't lost that 13 seconds 2 stages back, he would be 4th overall.

Pick up a couple of seconds at intermediate and aim for 2nd in the finish (not beating cav).

This whole race has sucked ass, so the showdown at Mt Balding will also suck ass. Sagan to win the overall as the final nail in the coffin.

Hopefully not,i refuse to believe that this climb is not enough to bury him.If Henao,Gesink or Dombrovski etc can't gain enough time on this guy it's time for them to change their job.

All of the climbers that started in this Tour of California to retire after today.

Would have finished higher had the Cirque du Soleil not taken over the hamlet.

This is freaking insane. WHAT A RIDE from Alaphilippe and Sagan.

Sagan must have pushed som great watt numbers considering he is something like 10 kg heavier than most of the other riders.

... and that's AMGEN Tour of Cali - hard to invent better fitting main sponsor to point out the "clinical punch" of the main heros (clue: edgar)

Yeah but he will be tired as ILoveCycling says. Maybe just sit on Allaphilippes wheel making sure he does not get bonus seconds and then go for the finish as you say.

After today it wouldn't be a surprise if he will outsprint Cav. He's on fire.

No, it's a flat stage he can win. He wouldn't even contemplate doing this if Julian was one second away from the Tour de France.

I can't make up my mind whether it's pathetic from climbers or surreal from Sagan.
It's ridiculous... Sagan will take the overall.
Sprints, the time trial, climbing with the specialist... he certainly has satisfied Olga.
It's ER, stuff. The clinic is a child's game.

Well Etixx have Renshaw who I suppose could potentially beat Sagan but even then they would need someone like Whippert to get 3rd, it depends how Sagan recovers after today.
