With Thomas (riding TdS) in the roster, it would be even better in mountains. Is he going to the Tour ?
Probably. That way they stand a chance to win both races.

I meant adding Thomas in the TdF roster would be great for Froome. But still although his form seemed a bit lower than earlier this season, he can still do pretty good in Suisse.

Actually it was Thomas who really wanted to do TdS.

His hunger for more responsibility goes hand in hand with a greater say in his own schedule. He would prefer to race the Tour de Suisse again this season and better last year’s second-place finish, rather than follow Team Sky head of athlete performance Tim Kerrison’s advice of competing at the Critérium du Dauphiné.

“Tim really wants me to race the Dauphiné because it’s a dress-rehearsal of a Tour stage that race organisers are thinking of for the next year, or the same stage as what they have in the Tour that year,” says Thomas.

“But I’m still keen to do Suisse because that’s the one race where I can go as a sole leader and have the whole team behind me. Obviously after last year as well it would be nice to go back and try and put that right.”

I really think Thomas should ride the Dauphine. The TdS this year doesnt suit him at all. Meanwhile it would be an absolutely perfect route for Landa, who btw is the guy who joined Sky to become a leader

Yes the TdS course would suit Landa and he did join Sky to be a leader but these races are an after thought while Thomas has stated clearly he wants to be a GT rider and wants leadership so it makes sense he goes to the TdS while Landa plays dom for Froome

I don't think that bloke is doing 6w/kg.

Anyway, it looks perfect for Froome if he shows up in form

It will be a short and explosive MTT, Pinot is a diesel and i don't think it suits him. Les Gets is a climb quite similar to that of Pais Vasco where Contador(and Quintana) destroyed the field. I expect an encore with smaller gaps

I have to agree with you, although Nirvana's proposition was seducing: no time to get going, brutal, explosive, if Tibopino gets a top-5 and loses less than 20", I'll be happy.

Yes , i think it's a realistic forecast and the same goes for me.
Moreover , i'm curious to see Froome in that route because after his good hilly ITT of 2013 i don't remember relevant performance

Agree with this post - Then again nothing wrong with Thomas wanting to be a leader.

Why? Not much visual appeal in TTs anyway, only the time checks are of any interest.

RG final is a no brainer.
