I think he will win today, and it is possible to break that record.. it depends of the wind,tht day was mostly of the climb tailwind.

Horner is the better riderI ever seen on climbs with hard slopes, but Contador is really good in a hard 6 km climb. He is in the shape of his life, and I think after the rest day he will be stronger (gettiing better shape and out of his crash

Stage today much easier than in 2013 which has many climbs during the race while today is mostly flat till last climb

Hope Tinkoff don't ride themselves into the ground here

I agree with the fact Alberto should be stronger ans stronger from now on. Especially in the Aubisque stage he should be a monster.

Rolf Sørensen talked with DS Lars Michaelsen on Tinkoff this morning about Contador. He said a psysio said Contador was 100% now after his left leg was somewhat blocked after the crashed. Its gone now and would explain why Tinkoff has taken the front. Good to hear.

Indeed. A fully fit, peak shape Contador is probably still the 3rd best climber in the world

It would really be a gift to this race if its not only Froome vs Movistar. Chaves doesn't seem up to it, so nice Contador apparently is back. A climb like Pena deserves to be won by the best - has the potential to be a Vuelta classic, no?

It always delivers for 2km. I think it's hard to combine with other climbs, so it's basically always much all about the last climb/2km. Not a climb I'd like to have as a classic. I'd rather see the Vuelta start visiting el Gamoniteiro

True, thats the only negative to say about it, the flat midway. But I've liked it very much all times.
