Rogla in Olympic shape and Pogačar in Tour shape would have had a chance for sure but Sobrero would have likely still gained some time on the descent.

It will be interesting to see if Landa overcome the deficit against Carapaz, given the climb that seems possible.

Arensman is gonna be livid at DSM if he loses by only a few seconds here. He didn't wanna be in the break yesterday but was told to by his team

Hey, he might not exactly have won the fans over by being a swashbuckling Pantani of a rider, but the race has been decidedly lacking in panache so it's not like there's a better candidate that anybody can say is more deserving (no, not Nibali either) - so while the two Giro podiums seem rather outlying in his palmarès to date, he's also young enough to still be learning his craft and back all this up, and he's most definitely not the meme champion the race deserves à la Hesjedal either.
