Actually going to give Petilli the win. Should learn all those teams that don't even try for a breakaway but come on man, how do those GC guys not want a stage win.

So apparently Belgian riders can just break the rules on a big race and nobody does anything about it? Wva without that chain lube would maybe not have a win this season
Remco learned fromt Wout. He probably gained 5 watts with that chain lube.

They don't want to help Quick Step at all throughout the race. Which actually is good news. Just not today. If Quick Step doesn't want to chase. No need for them to do instead for an uphill sprint!

They'll attack left and right from Wednesday on.

Gran Sasso d'Italia 100% lives from the fact, Pantani won on top of it in 1999. Otherwise it's a mediocre climb. Sportive seen. The scenery is beautiful.

It's going to be super prestigious for Vacek & Corratec though. Even for Bais & Petilli.

So I'm happy with the breakaway taking the stage if it happens. If it means that Grand Bernardo-Croix de Coeur-Crans Montana is raced offensively then
Mediocre climb?
So i'm right. This route of the Giro is a joke. Another boring stage.

Don't know if the GPS is correct but starting the climb to Calascio with 11 minutes could be enough if one of the three has great legs.

I am really dissapointed in Ineos honestly.

I also just hate the trend that GC riders (apart from Pogacar or Vingegaard or someone who feels he's miles ahead of the others uphill) just don't ride for stage wins in GTs. All too scared for someone else to take some boni seconds.

Well with this weeks weather, they better could've used Blockhaus and it automatically would've created proper gaps. Unlike last year. But you're always wiser afterwards.
I mean you won't get huge gaps here but the two ending climbs are long enough and the ending 3k hard enough that you could put in 20-30 seconds if it was raced hard

If they intend to do what i think they want to do, it only makes sense for them to hold off as long as possible. Their best chances are to wait as long as possible, while having the most options to attack. The sooner they show their hand, the sooner all their other riders will likely get exposed.

The Italian GPS is broken as usual

Minutes were not taken off. The GPS was broken. Just as the breakaway didn't gain a minute over the past km

This looks like the cheapest GT stage win in history for Petilli to me.

Zabriskie once won a road stage in the Vuelta. He attacked right after the start and not much later there was a huge crash in the bunch with couple GC riders so the peloton waited for them. He had like 22 minutes advantage by the time the peloton started going seriously again.
