I agree.

I'm totally pissed off he refuses to ride Worlds, for the second year running.

Especially as he will surely want to ride next year, when the route is expected to be climber friendly.

Even if he'd wanted to ride, he wouldn't have been selected. Seems your issue is just that he's the one making the decision, maybe you think all riders should be begging their national coaches to be allowed to ride...

Of course he would get selected to ride the TT!

- and yes, as said before I believe every rider should consider it an honour to represent their country at Worlds.

Australia has named Ewan in the team who is not needed when you have Matthews and Groves. Interested in how Bling performs off no TDF - He's warming up with some races in Spain next week.
In general it’s interesting to see if the Tour is a benefit or not. I think the gc riders will be too spent to make a dent at the worlds also mentally, think Pogi last year at San Sebastián.

Bling might have benefitted from a bit of Tour action I reckon.

You're saying because he won today, he's somehow a favourite for the Worlds ITT.
I think he's would have a hard time against the Gannas of the World.

Totally agree. He wouldn't have a chance on this years route. Almost flat and at 48 km. will favour bigger engines. Of course he is saying no way, wait for a better oppertunity and leave the space for a rider who might have a chance.
His focus is and have always been the Tour and (almost) nothing else.

Ever have a chance on a course expected to be ridden at slightly above 50km/h speed?

No Rogla, Moho, Tratnik ... Polanc retired... this year in Slovenian selection. So if Pogi decides his wrist takes priority then that is that i guess. We are not participating. For real.
Would you not send Mezgec, Govekar, Primozic and the likes? Austria 2020 had Schöneberger, Wildauer, Gall, Zoidl, Friedrich, Bayer. Judging by Procyclingstats points for 2020 that was also leaving out their best 8 riders (Konrad, Großschartner, Pernsteiner, Mühlberger, Haller, Brändle, Gogl, Pöstlberger). But I guess you at least try to line up a team.
