To translate, the panel said that Alaphilippe showed his frustration and proved by this way that the puncture happened before the last 3k. Moreover, they said that the frenchman didn't raise his arm to "officially" show he had a problem.

Very strange justification...
I don't know what the idea behind the last bit is, seems very strange almost as if the French media are trying to stur things up but the first part is spot on. The incident didn't happen within 3km to go end of story no need to add anything else those are the rules
But what happens if it's a rider in the bunch? Less easy to spot, not likely to be sanctioned.

HelloDolly,

Do you think this route is as good as routes we have seen in the last few years in Pais Vasco?

I htink that route is as good as any...

But that is not my point...My point is give a route a chance and stop complaining from the off. Routes do not make a race ...riders make a race
You're right, we could also see a bad race on a good route, but we're more likely to see a bad race on a bad route. The route should give the riders a chance to make the race.

P.S. I don't think this route is too bad, it's different sure, but not too bad. Still would have liked to see one of the first four stages a little tougher.

Agreed that's the problem with this rule, hence why I believe the time at the finish should be the only one to count its far to complicated and subjective depending on the commissaires the interest of the race...

Alaphilippe should target tomorrow's stage. If he can stay with Sagan on Poggio, he can definitely win this stage.

Kwiatkowski, Valverde, can win it too. The 6,5% 1k ramp is made for attacks.

He it's downhill all the way to the finish after the ramp.

It's made for Valverde. He kinda attacked yesterday and should do the same thing today.

Alaphilippe is a great descender

Just tuned in, what happened to Contador?
Not sure, pee break maybe or bike change, although he was quite a long way behind the Trek car so that wouldn't make sense. Maybe just wanted to stretch his legs :p

"Contador es reenganxa a cua del gran grup"

should I read that he rejoined the bunch?

That's good. Seeing the gap and not being able to understand a single word I was afraid that he crashed again.

Albasini did an excellent lead out yesterday for Gerrans, who unfortunately lost his wheel - Anyway seems that Albasini is coming into form for the Ardennes and Romandie.
