Fuglsang sould let the other 2 come back
That would be a brilliant move. Instead of racing for a 100% 2nd place, why not race for a 100% 4th place!
How about all that sweet tactical equity.

Erm, it's cycle racing tactics 101. It's way easier for a 'weaker' rider to escape from a group of four than from a group of two.

Don’t think Fuglsang is weaker, just less explosive.

If he gets 25 meters on Alaphilippe, it becomes an individual TT, where Fuglsang might be stronger.

The scary thing is that the 2 in front aren't the type that suffer from the bigger climbs in Fleche and LBL.

LBL should be the biggest chance to dislodge Alaphilippe

Its going to be Ala and Fuglsang are going to take this one. Trentin and Kwia too far in my opinion.

Trentin and Kwiat smart to not blow themselves up on the climb.

Working together on the flat is their chance to come back

I hope the route changes will make Liege more like the current Amstel. :D
There's one problem with that. The real Ardennes hills are just too long for that type of racing. You can't recover from attacking all out on one hill multiple times
Yeah. Most likely the truth but we are allowed to dream of an epic Redoute at least.

Agreed. But it might be easier to make that gap from a group of four. Rather than from a group of two, where Alaphilippe will immediately try to respond to any move.

Front two much stronger than Trentin and Kwia on climbs but losing on flats, as expected
They're not going 100% on the flats, the front 2

Good lord, now even Bala doesn't seem to be his normal self. Movistar could really be in for a terrible season.

To add to this thread, I hope Fuglsang finds a way to take this but I have little hope if he arrives with Ala and/or Trentin.

Not a chance, Ala is Jalabert and Rebellin rolled in one.
