It took them more than 4 months to provide a better National Champ jersey.

Could it be that Omega switched it from white to black?

Well that's ugly. Switch it back to white. stripes just do not look good on a black background.

The other thing with black clothing is it absorbs more of the sunlight....Once Summer comes along in full swing it's got to be hot wearing all black! Unless they have Sky's new mesh kit....:D No wait, then their skin will just be completely fried. :)

Sadden that they ruined what could be an amazing jersey. The thing they did on the shoulder/arm, why not do it on the 'jersey' itself. Full white jersey with the Austrian coat of arms over the flag stripes (just like on the shoulder) right on the center, with all the logos in black.

I wonder what is Riccardo's opinion on this cr@p shirt.

Also, how are we supposed to distingish him from other TREK riders? Everyone has that white shoulder... I assume Austria is on of the federations that does not impose any rules on the design of the national champion jersey? Otherwise why not do it like the Luxembourg or Belgian flags?

I saw this jersey when we met Zoidl at the Giro and it really stood out and was one of my favourites by far, he was also a lovely guy.

Trek changed all the national champions jerseys pretty quickly. Most notably Zoidl and Kiserlovski, Zoidl just had the one sleeve and Kiserlovski had those red squares on both sleeves, he looked like a fackin clown. I would say now they all have decent ones, except Roulston, but his is also at least distinguishable now. Devolder and Jungels had OK ones to begin with, but they also changed a bit.

I wonder if that is maybe a PR strategy? I don't think it is a terrible idea to slightly change these national champion's jerseys throughout the season, makes for a little added fun. As long as they remain easily distinguishable, of course. Also don't know how UCI rules apply on this one (cf. Milram and Livestrong debaccles)
