Yep, you clearly see his radio still in his ear too. And Wout was literally only 80 meters ahead. I'm actually starting to think he was genuinely celebrating 2nd place, cos that seems less strange than not knowing.

I r done that before on KoM points, never the stage win. I’m always going all out for time. I always go all arounder so my custom rider turns into a WVA, Valverde, Evenepoel beast. He’d keep the clinic extremely busy.

Rare type of wrongful celebration here. The only time I can recall this happening is TdF 2017 Stage 9 when Warren Barguil also only came past after the finish line. (Uran won that day with broken shifting)
