This after placing 112th today, losing 1:16 in a 13.2 k TT?This thread is going to be a gold mine (with posts like these) once Froome wins a stage and proves over half of the posts here from the last three years utterly wrong.
He's a very positive guy
Why?Pinot should be asking himself some serious f questions.............
Okay maybe I'm expecting too much of Pinot. Why?
I think Pinot is going to ship lots of time in this first week on purpose. That will free him up for some stage hunting, and I think he would enjoy winning 1-2 stagesOkay maybe I'm expecting too much of Pinot.
Yes, he's going for polka dots I believe.
Yes Pinot, mais oui!!! In response to a poster concerned he dropped time in the time trial. You mean Pinot, right? Because Froome is going for just polka everyday at best, no dot.
You'd still find a way to *** about the stage design while riding in the gruppetto.Even I would be a positive guy if I made the money he did for riding in the gruppetto all day
"This climb is pointless. Why is it here? Yeah I'm getting dropped but are the GC guys attacking? No. Ofxourse not. This climb is just here to bully me"You'd still find a way to *** about the stage design while riding in the gruppetto.
Meh. Well given the weather conditions and that he isn't going for GC anyway i reckon he lost a minute just by avoiding risks, soft-pedaling and lack of TT training. Let's see on July 8 how much those 10-15 watts and "the legs are feeling great" are worth. This after placing 112th today, losing 1:16 in a 13.2 k TT?
I want some of what you’re smoking.
Why would anyone accept what Froome says about his form, his watts, or anything at face value? He’s lied so many times about so many things it beggars the imagination that people pay any attention to his comments.Meh. Obviously better than Valverde and Thomas since he was just a better GC rider than both. And thats probably enough to top 5/podium. Don't think he would challenge Pogacar though.Without his crash and normal mid 30s decline, where would you expect him to finish?

Seems he got caught up as well
”Get off my wheel c*nt!” - DurianriderSmart TT by Chris yesterday - it was the first part of the grand plan.
Now the second part of the plan: gain time in a breakaway.
The third part of the plan will be Pogacar saying "f**k you" to Froome sticking to his wheel in the mountains.
Go for #5 Chris!
I’d be pretty pissed off too if it felt like I was riding for two people and I turn around and Froome has a rope attached to his and my bike so I could tow him along.Smart TT by Chris yesterday - it was the first part of the grand plan.

Perhaps it's the gruppetto aspiration to arrive in the last minute of the stage. Is his number badge in reference to just making the time cut? Lastminute.com!
