For how long now he has always had a convenient injury or excuse just before a race that is a goal? When he last competed just with good legs? Tdf 2022? This time it's back problems

Remco goes into his big races and say 'I'm feeling really good, training went well, I can win with this shape'. He doesn't make excuse. Froome go to races and say 'the equipment is bad, I did a poor race program and didn't have right races to show myself, I have back problems, I haven't had chance to do hard miles on the legs, I have knee injury, i have illness, I have a bilharzia again'. Never just 'I feel good, I'm excited to do my best'
Was going to like your post until you brought up Remco out of nowhere yawn

Froome admitted that the stage was more difficult than he expected. "But good for our team, we won, it was a good start to the Czech Tour," he said. "It was definitely not just a sprint stage, it was not an easy day. Just trying to escape, also quite a hill up and down. It's good to be part of the team that won today. We have some guys who will be fighting for the overall win. We will do everything for it as a team," he promised.

I cant understand he complain to dont be paart of the Tour Te<m and he dont incluce him to figh for overall here. Back problems..I didnt read about...
"I can't understand..."

Really? Do you think you're ever going to realize he's been yanking your chain for about 12 years?

It is better tomorrow for him, but if he is not in top shape and acording his words there are some people in the team looking for overall (Hollyman or Frigo) is possible he has to work.
It is a pity no better coverage for this race.
With the level he had just before le Tour he shoul win this Tour, becouse it was a better level than his results.

Surely you are being sarcastic Lequack? This Stage looks like a nightmare for Christopher Clive Froome.
I predict he finishes 5.00mins behind today's winner.
Others please post your predictions.
Let's see who is the closest!
Honestly it could be within a minute to reel in hope before finishing in the gruppetto.

From the race website

"It's cold weather today. The riders are arriving at the team cars to take clothes."

I don't think Froome is a cold-weather fan. At least he has another excuse

It is curious Israel use to be at the front of the race lot of times with no sense and today that they are the stronger team IMO of the race acording pictures of the live they arent. Hope Froome is not bad and try to get a good result. He likes good weather. But anyway I am not very optimistic, maybe he help and finish out of top 50.

Unless my eyes deceive me, not even in the first 88 finishers currently showing on PCS. 87/88th were 6:57 down on the stage winner.

the more he races, the more he displays how completely done he is... Sad, but time to accept it and move on. Hard to argue he should have gone to the TDF...
