After reading numerous articles and angles from posters and professionals, including what I found really interesting by Johan Bruyneel,
in my opinion teams are taking enormous risks w multi year, expensive contracts w riders, but especially with talent. The top 20 riders can pull this or something similar and it appears to be a way to vaporize a once legal document.. This situation, this one rider has revealed that cycling contracts are garbage given a day and mood of rider or if a guy is out on a training ride car pulls up and says, our team will offer you $$$$$$$ what do you think? And before you are finished with the ride,wearing the current, contract paying team, you can ride w a new squad almost immediately.. It's an all win situation for the rider and an all lost situation for team he or she is exiting. This to me was a missed opportunity by Cavendish and some others, if your team says or hints that you may not be going to a race like TDF, play the bully transfer card or say that one of your teammates is giving you a bad or sexual vibe and bam!!

I did hear retired professionals on The Cycling Podcast bemoaning this situation too in terms of long term contracts. It's a setback in a system that already didn't provide pros with contract security.

In theory. In practice that would likely take years. That is UCI can always just say no. So whatever you do that will likely need to be in accordance with current UCI rules. And if there is a dispute involved, you will likely end up in front of CAS. Then again if you have a couple of years to spare. Than indeed you can challenge the current system and set of rules at the regular courts. So maybe if you start at 20 and train well. Then at 27 you might get a chance to do that, ride a GT for 3 different teams in one season. After you have changed the rules, due to them not being in accordance with EU laws.

Being as everything I do with cycling as a fan is online and not actually speaking to people, I don't think I care a lot about his pronunciation.

While I care just enough to post, I do so to point out that in enjoy hearing Bruyneel correct others on the pronunciation, when to me it sounds like they are both saying exactly the same thing.

No wonder ujtedbrecks left Bora, he's all alone and having to waste energy lifting the camera, which could cost him recovery for 8th place in la vuelta. I bet vlasov was selfishly doing his own training in these moments and no filming.

I bet now in jumbo with a proper team support Cian can thrive and get many placements

Everything you said makes sense, probably forward it to the UCI, who didn't follow their own rules, team and rider made announcement without all parties in agreement.
And is foreshadowing of what the billionaire king wants the billionaire king gets and that if Jumbo wants someone or something they will take it, work out details w the UCI and others later as a formality. The is the age old story of play by my rules or I will take my ball and go home.. timeless.

Hard to say what was going on behind the scenes but i do feel that UCI did play a role. That is they registered (hinted that) Cian as Bora rider, a day before the agreement in between parties in dispute was made. So i assume they would back Bora and leave the dispute, if any, to CAS. As that is in accordance to their rules and procedures. Now is somebody would take them all the way, EU courts, then they might end up in need to change the rules. Thinking about this i don't even know if teams really want this, as it cuts both ways. Not just when it comes to talent but the same would then apply for their star riders too.

All in all i feel that a mature decision was made, by all parties involved. Cian can now train with and ride for Visma, Bora got some compensation. So best to focus on that now. Trainings and things like that. Considering all sides got what they were after. Fans will be fans.
