Just noticed that the Forum spell checker rejects "peloton".

170. Getting Peddle and Pedal confused. When you are overselling something at the Clinic. Please get these right.

With acknowledgement to mewmew, who tried in vain to get this across in the - with further acknowledgement to the spat over peleton and peloton above - 'How to Spell Peloton Correctly' thread.

That particular thread notably started by someone currently banned.

Like the title says, it's PELOTON.

Not "peleton" or any other derivation. Is it really so difficult?

Am I being overly pedantic? Is it too much to ask for just this one, single word to get the dignity it so rightly deserves?

The double "e" version sets off my spellchecker, as it should. Is this not the case for other forumites?

Mods, maybe misspellings of this particular word could be added to the "banned words" list? That way the entire forum wouldn't have to be embarrassed by their usage?

Or maybe institute a mandatory ban to anyone that can't spell this one particular word correctly? I would suggest a punishment of three weeks, to coincide with any subsequent Grand Tour that follows such a transgression.

To be clear:

is wrong.

Just remember: It's Pelo, like Velo...get it?

busunderthrowery or throwunderbusery yet?
I'm pretty sure this is a clinic phrase that was made in reference to how and when LA would start doing it to those involved in his history

And it seems you were the original one to coin it!

Lance Armstrong, forgotten again so soon that his own threads no longer mention or discuss him...

i think the phrase is
busthrowundery

Dear Wiggo was the genesis. But ithink i tweaked it to busthrowundery (sic/grammar).

I think DearWiggo had it two words, bus underthrow or something similar

255. busthrowundery
a verb that describes individuals like Armstrong and Bruyneel when they do not take responsibility and seek to defray all blame at others

I was pretty sure it was you DearWiggo, but I could not find it in my 5 min search, cos my first search was

"busthrow undery" and I wanted to doa specific member Dear Wiggo search, but I knew, or thought, "bus" was not enough letters, anyway, I knew I always had it out by a little, one integer out

but I like the germans portmanteau one word, busthrowundery. it is a legendary portmanteau and respect to you DW

256. Blacklist Kind of like the Pulitzer prize for cycling journos. Oddly, it was actually compiled by Lance & JB. If you aren't on the list, you aren't reporting truthfully.

Dave.
and if you are eating chinese food and are spotting eating chinese food with walsh and ballester you get linked with the trolls and you can not be asking fellow craven journos for rides to the media room at the next stage end 200km away cos you are blacklisted noir and trolled like rupert guiness phil andersons best mate and we know skippy knows his way around a hypodermic in toulouse

53. This is my first time posting followed by detailed descriptions of specific posting histories of all of the people who regularly post. This phrase is proof positive you have a sockpuppet account for a previously banned username.

^^^addendum: This must be used in tandem with the phrase.."long time lurker here"...

260. Altitude Training. Great excuse for covering up whereabouts violations. Also good excuse to head off to expensive and remote locations that are outside the budget for OOC testers. (See Tenerife above)

261. Actovegin. aka "Acto-what". Nobody really knows what it does. But, it is only used if you are transfusing. See also: Smoking Gun.

262. Diabetes. Hiring requirement for USPS staff members/drivers for its utility as an excuse for having Actovegin. Of course, Actovegin is not used to treat diabetes, but you aren't paying attention if you thought it was. See also: Shell game.
