lol

Bauer and Thwaites are the reason why you shouldn't give up. They basically conceded gold and were worried about silver. If they kept going for it, they would be in gold medal contention.

What was Thwaites doing overtaking Bauer a few hundred metres out from the finish?

Great ride by all the 3 medallists + chapeau to PK

i just hope tht some other race dont follow this same type of course in the future.

nice win for G Thomas.

sad by the way things panned out for PeterT. if 2 riders had joined him in the move, he could have won it.

i think the aussies were really unlucky to miss out today :(

What?!

That was an unexpectedly epic race. Approx 140 started. 12 finished. Drama right down to the last 10 minutes. What more could anyone want?

Chapeau to all riders who finished.

I assume he means cycling should be A to B, not circuit racing like Formula 1. I agree with him. Circuit racing is okay occasionally for WC and things like that, but for normal "Tours" of countries, it's not suitable and isn't what cycling is all about. Doesn't mean I didn't enjoy today's race(s) of course :) But I don't want to see it in anywhere else other than the CG or WC.

P.S. LOL at Bauer, throwing away a stage win in the TDF by playing silly games in a breakaway with a lead of only 10 seconds, and today again sitting in his own world with whoever happened to be next to him instead of thinking about the bigger picture, and again potentially missing out on another win. He needs to start getting better at judging when it's appropriate to do soft-peddling.

It's quite clear Thomas was the strongest by far. Bauer wasn't soft-pedaling (not when Thomas went at least).

The BBC acts like Thomas has just won against a world class field... it was a great race though.
