maybe durbridge time is not as good as it looks.
Westra has been pretty off form too.
Westra is in buildup mode. He said he's getting better legs as the days progress.

I assume that because you don't actually watch TTs you like to draw conclusions from the numbers only, but of course there's also such a thing as motivation. And recovery. What's the use of Samu going full gas today.

Yup, I definately assumed he was going 100%.

You can draw no conclusions from any performance unless it is objectively outstanding for that individual, but this performance is sufficiently below his ability it does suggest he is still suffering from his injuries. Tour contenders will not be turning up here to roll around knocking out 300W unless there is something wrong.

Westra not bad, how come Grabsch just can't perform in ITTs anymore ? Didn't he crush that World ITT a few years ago?

He beat Tony Martin the brute hero in the German championship last year.

He has nothing to gain from it, so I assume he'll just try and recover on days like today. Otherwise he'll leave this Dauphine worse than he entered it.

Samu is hardly the guy to shine in prep races, and now that he's crashed it will probably be worse.

Grabsch is 36 now, so no surprise if he's declining. It's not common to remain at the top after passing 36, although there are exceptions.

Durbridge looks pretty sensational again now. Probably the time to beat right there.

Apart from the Prologue, there doesnt seem to have been any Live Coverage before about 15:00 local time. I guess France TV start a bit later than they do in the TDF.

To be honest, I didn't know whether to expect something solid, or something pretty poor, given the awkward circumstances.

But if Andy Schleck's name was on that time the mockery would have started already.

I'm not intending to mock, or draw conclusions - just pointing out this is a poor ride by any standards and a very poor one by his.

He was 37 seconds down on Durbridge ;)

Yeah, i just noticed that:eek:

Durbridge pulled out another minute on Tjallingi whose time at the 1st intermediate is still 4th.
