Turbo seems to have gained the upper hand over Mick but this will be the longest TT Durbridge has ever done, so that will be interesting. Not sure if their last meeting was in the Australian TT which was over 38km but that was back in January.

Good mix of Aussies in the hunt for top 10/20 finishes with Durbridge, Rogers, Porte, Evans and possibly Gerrans.

Just because is a long TT I think that Durbrigde can pay his inexperience... while Rogers should be ok and he has a good shape, like he shown in Germany one week ago...

I wonder if Rodgers will ever find the ITT form that made him a triple (?) World Champion...

Well if he found that, he would face a two year ban a little later;)

Just checked the latest weather forecast! A dramatic change!
Now they predict some 27°C and crosswinds of up to 40km/h. No rain.
Those are some hard conditions! Excpect some huge gaps.
Maybe the earlier startes have an advantage as the wind is said to get stronger of the course of the day! Starting early could really be an advantage.

Ah well, better safe than sorry then, still MR's always been a bit of a mystery to me, triple WC and never a single GT ITT win?

So annoying, almost every TT gets majorly affected by the weather due to changing conditions. Hopefully the strongest will win anyway...

Well that's two different things. And in his world chanpion years, he was still very young and hardly expierenced in GT at all.

Just checked. Start times are quiet early. Last rider already starts at 15:15 already. Ithink that's gonna limit the differences in the wind.

Don't forget that after his early ITT titles, Rogers focussed on GT's. He started climbing better but his ITT has gotten worse as a result.

I'll never get that concept.
Why should someones TT get worse if his climbing gets better?
If anything, this could only be explained with a weight loss. But Wiggins doesn't seem to have lost any significant weight compared to his early days.

Go back to those years and I think you'll find the reason. He only rode the Tour in those years and there were some pretty solid TTers, plus I've not seen Rogers strong at the end of 3 weeks ever. Add to that in 03 and 04 he was Virenque's mountain domestique, long days setting tempo on climbs so virenque could sprint over the top for points.

This happens to a lot of TT-ers who try climbing actually. Wiggins is just one of the rare exceptions.

thay may be one factor, but Rogers also stopped training on the tt-bike as he wasn't keen on doing it anymore, he was just bored by timetrialling

It's difficult to look past Wiggins. Tony Martin hasn't been on top form of late so I think there is a question mark over him. It will be interesting to see if he's got it back.

Martin was quite strong in tour of Belgium won the TT easily, but 2nd there was Westra an looking at the form of Westra here  We'll have to wait, I think Wiggins is the favourite, but if Martin is in good shape he should win this

There's actually a ton of great TTers in the field. Still, Martin and Wiggo to be 1 and 2.
