You don't have to explain yourself, most people understood what you meant. Those posters are just giving you a hard time

mixed feelings

CBF watching Sky dominate, but I just remembered Rogers is on my CQ team  :D

Wow, the Dauphiné has been getting steadily worse the last few years. This might be a new nadir. Wiggins would probably have won anyway, but this has just been a stroll in the park, given that this was the only even half-opportunity to make time back from the time trial.

This race is fast losing prestige as long as it is no longer being treated as a standalone event but instead as a glorified training session for the Tour.

Ya it has been a pretty poor race. Disappointing.

It'll be interesting to hear what Nibali has to say about today's events.
Little form, or a little soft on the pedals?
Denis Menchov, anyone?

I hope Evans has managed to extract the handlebar tape he was chewing, from between his teeth.

I thought it was quite an interesting day.

Quintana is the real deal, this was an elite group (albeit in the Dauphine) and he was the best, or one of. Didn't think he was going to progress so rapidly this season.

Evans has done Joux Plane before, surely he knew the descent? Might have got a few more seconds on the line if he had waited for the technical section and not even made an attempt over the summit.

Sky... Eddy Monster back for more twelve months later. Porte doing what he was supposed to do for Contador last year. Rogers back in 2006. Froome is getting better with every day, but I don't know why he didn't take over from Porte on the descent? Porte would have to be the worse descender in the group and had already been on the front for 20 minutes. Next month is going to be a spectacle if they keep this up.

and... WeeningTF?

nairo quintana one day will fight to win the tour.
i told you months ago, ryo has been repeating this concept for month.

i do not know if he will win the tour, he will be able to really compete in few years.
I am not sure about the Tour, but for sure he is a great climber. Great Colombian goat. Good for him.

Good riders on good form. Pretty good riders on very good form. Very good riders on poor form. Pointless to draw many conclusions.

This is a training race. Where else can he test how he feels after a long climb hanging on to the UK Postal train? Do you think that scenario might occur again during the tour?

Same with the descent.

I see nothing but shrewd and calculated evaluation of fitness and capabilities, as well as fine tuning of performance.

I thought that out of those following the Sky train, VDB 2 looked by far the most comfortable.
A bit surprised that he didn't try a small attack to test the rest, but then again, it would have been of minimal benefit.

I would like to think he might have, were it a MTF. He isn't the best descender, so why bother, since they would try to reel him back in, as opposed to Quintana.

PS: please call him VDB or JVDB. First of all, their name isn't the same, and well, he deserves better.

Just 20 seconds before Samu.

Nibs has yet to say anything about today.

"Non era giornata e allora sono salito con il mio passo, interpretandola come un allenamento".
Which means: "It wasn't a good day, so I paced myself, riding as a training".
Something like that, sorry my english is less than perfect, and translating from italian even worse! :D

Thought all three of the tour contenders in the group looked easy (as easy as Evans ever looks anyway).
