Waiting for "Wiggins is weak and already past his peak as he was dropped today" posts.

hopefully not, I was hoping what distinguish 'them' from us was our ability to understand this race means little in the context for the tour.

However by the 'invincibles' logic, yes what a fail ;)

Well what great work by Menchov on the steep bit.. One guy went by and he stopped.. did not realise his job was to chase that guy!

And so ends probably the worst stage race of the year. Seriously, at least Catalunya had an excuse.
I feel sorry for you that you have to watch it, poor you :(
ps: I'm starting to question you IQ

Wiggins shows his weakness, lost a lot of time there on such a short climb, even to Rogers, Maybe Rogers to lead at the TDF?

EBH 4th, Sky should've just led it out properly, rather than seemingly an every man for himself at the finish.
His weakness is he doesn't bother when he's already won the race?

Exactly the same gap between Evans and Wiggo as last year (and the same victory salute as well by Brad), but this time Rogers squeezed in in between.

It could be worse Eurosprt UK is still showing Tennis no live coverage at all today:mad:

You should get HD! I popped over the channel to watch the cycling realised it wasn't live. Changed back to the cricket and missed the last wicket!!

I work Monday to Friday, it's not like I sit through every single stage race coverage in full. The last two stages were the ones on a weekend, and the last two stages were the only ones that looked like they might be interesting.

Was this a good race, in your opinion, and if so, why?

This is a test for the Tour. If anything he should test out if he can manage to stay with Evans when the road goes up.

To be fair, Wiggins hasn't bothered at any stage all week apart from the time trial.

We should be thankful for him as he still deigned to entertain us by closing 5 sec gaps today and on 5th stage. Of course, positioning himself at the front on the last climb was too demanding in terms of saving energy for TDF so he didn't bother.

I'm still baffled as to why Sky let EBH go for the win here and not on stage 1 and 2. I guess they had no idea he was in such good form. Obviously, with him not being in the Tenerife gang, they can't monitor him as closely.

Pieter Weening incredible today as well, what's up with him? :p

I at least saw the last wicket shame as I hoped he would get his hundred , I will have to price up the HD but will need new tv as well:eek:

Wiggo looks really strong. Last year he worked pretty hard for it. This year he won more comfortably, looked like he did'nt need to dig especially deep except in the ITT. His team is also amazingly strong, 5 riders among top 20 today.

Wiggo will be very hard to beat at TDF.

Did you watch Romandie last year? Or the first week of the Giro?

Weening sometimes has these spells of great form. But he'll always crack at some point, because he turns such a giant gear on every climb. You can't keep doing that for three weeks.
