Aru seems to be a very talented climber, already one of the best in the world, but riding Froome off his wheel? Hahahaha. Unlike Aru, Froome actually approaches "climbing like Pantani" when in top form ;)

The same guy that finished 5 minutes behind Froome right?

He lost most of that time in the ITT's, and in the first mountain stages, when Valverde was well placed and Quintana was used by his team to go into the attack really early on the climbs, which was obviously negative to his own chances.

You don't seem very well informed or very objective.

Im a big Nairo fan to be fair, I'll give you his early move on the Ax-3 stage for Valverde but Froome was stronger up Ventoux when they both got away and he wasn't working for Valverde then. Froome didn't have to push himself on the final MTF as he had nearly 6 minutes in hand at that point. I will admit Quintana was stronger by that point though.

Yeah the thing about Ventoux is, Quintana went away 6km earlier than Froome. So.....

Hype is getting out of control

Not yet.

Always having shown promise and talent finally on slopes of Montecampione Aru spread his wings and flew. And the shock waves from his ride has left a permanent mark on the minds of the other GC contenders. With a triumphant fist pump as he hit the line he's shown us he has arrived into the big leagues. And he'll crush anyone that tries to get in his way! Aru is the next great Italian talent. He will show himself to be greater then Coppi, Pantani, or any other Italian climber in history. He has been groomed by Lo Squalo, and studied diligently under the master Vino. And now he's ready to show us what he's got. The angel is ready to fly, and he will indeed fly. When he stands on the pedals and bursts away from the GC contenders he will leave them dumbfounded and clueless, as they are reduced to mashing the pedals to try to catch him and staring blankly down at their computers wondering why they can not go faster. While all the while his gap to them continues to grow. Be it a large mountains stage ending at Val Martello, a Monte Grappa TT, or even the mythical Zoncolan climb, he will continue to spread his wings and fly up every peak and slope that he comes to along the road. They say that Icarus flew too close to the sun, it's not a problem for Aru, because he's already flown past the sun.

There, now the hype has gotten out of control! :D

Think this is well deserved,
