Green behind the ears?
Rechtschreibfehler said:Very true.
Btw.: According to German TV there is a French guy by the name of Géra playing for England and supposably Liverpool.
Do you know anything about him? Will Almunia be the next foreign player for England?
issoisso said:They can't call up Almunia. The british nations have an agreement to never call up someone who wasn't born with local nationality. It came about when the scottish media started yelling for Scotland to call up Nacho Novo.
Moondance said:Ummm... Owen Hargreaves, anyone? The native son of.... Calgary, Alberta.
EDIT: Shucks. Now someone else brings up Owen Hargreaves, seconds before i do. Note to self: type faster

zapata said:that's actually confusing me even more..I always thought Great Britain was the same as United Kingdom? And I never thought of Ireland as a british island..all the other islands, they're part of GB, right? Or part of UK..and then there's the whole commonwealth thing, with India etc. Good thing the old norsemen tired of trying to rule the isles, or you'd all be norwegian today..

Moondance said:Blame the Scottish. For centuries Britain and England were pretty much interchangable, and noone had a problem with it. England could even be used to refer to the whole of the Britsh empire.
It was only until Scottish nationalists started getting uppity in the 1930s that 'England' gained it modern meaning, which goes from Berwick-upon-Tweed to St. Ives....
TeamSkyFans said:so who are the norweigans supporting in this game?
TeamSkyFans said:but hargreaves is crap so it doesnt matter
issoisso said:I'm going to think you don't know much about the role of the midfield destroyer and pretend you didn't write that![]()
