Hmmm... Apparantly reports of Paul's prediction for the Netherlands earlier were false. The octopus has actually picked Spain.

Stupid fucking Telegraaf... You've tested my patience before, and you abuse my belief in you again.

Messi- a striker who hasnt even scored a goal  when his team scored 10.
Ozil - all he did was dive all the time
Gyan- scored 1 good goal and 2 penalties.
Xavi - i know people claim hes the best but hasnt done much in this wc.
iniesta- xavi + 1 goal.

surely Mueller, perhaps donovan, maicon, higuain were better.

Özil was brilliant except in the semifinals. Messi was actually pretty good despite not scoring, but he wouldn't deserve such a prize. Iniesta and Xavi's roles are not scoring.

From that list, I'd have to go with Sneijder and Forlán.

Decent enough list for the Golden Ball.

Mueller is obviously a big absentee, but he's a lock for the Young Player Award, so I guess thats why they skipped him for this. I don't know when voting takes place, but if the final gets taken into consideration too, I imagine it'll be Villa if Spain wins, and Sneijder if Holland (by some miracle, fluke, act of God, etc.) win.

Hmmm... No Klose in the starting line-up today. Seems he doesn't want to sneak past Ronaldo through the back door. I've got respect for that.

Why is Germany playing with a B-team? Is this a case of final or nothing?

The A-team was bad against Spain, but still...

Goal by Mueller. Now tied with Villa and Sneijder for the Golden Boot. Why he's not shortlisted for the Player of the Tournament is a mystery to me.
