 it didn't travel the world it was brought from Irun to Pau by a friend of Alberto. I haven't got a clue what you're going on about.

By the way what do you think of the "I was poisoned!"-excuse :D :D

Btw poisoning doesn't have to be on purpose, can also be accidental, i think that's what they meant

You think this won't devastate the already Mentally Fragile Andy? His belly may be filled with anger but he never channels that onto the road that I've seen. He'll probably go to a bar instead of training.

I'd say Frank is the mentally fragile one, not Andy. I think he'll be fine. (Just as long as he doesn't crash again.)

It was supposedly bought there but before it had been counterfeited from South America because in 10 years and 10.000 samples not one had clenbuterol in the EU

That was a theory a Spanish farmer came up with. Alberto's story has always been that the meat came from a spanish farmer who's brother had used clenbuterol on his cows before.

Holy ****.. People happy that Schleck gets suspended because Contador also had a 'contaminated' sample and people happy because some forum members are upset.

What the **** is wrong you?

Wasn't he cleared by the Luxemburg doping agency in 2008 ? So technically this is a first upheld offense ?

Unless he significantly helped the authorities, it should be 2 years, and that is the basis WADA could appeal on.

He has not shown the route to claim under 10.4 or 10.5, that he bore no fault or negligence.

If the Luxembourg AD did their job they would have goen to Spain to interview Fuentes. He is available now it would seem. They would've found out Frank was doping. Then they could throw the book for 2nd offence, but nah this is not the way the sport works. He got off very lightly.

Luxembourg AD and Fed are gonna look stupid when it comes out the Schlecks were doping with Fuentes and they didn't bother to do anything.

it started with this asinine personal attack (on Flo) that the mods allowed to remain:

It'll be even more amusing if Fuentes were to take out Dertie and the ****s together. Then the CN under 15 section of the forum will have no one to fight over.

Come on Fuentes - do your bit for the good of humanity and name the names.

I think he should be given another year for insulting the intelligence of cycling fans the world over and not growing some balls, man up and take his punishment like a man. This bloke exudes the utter contempt for the sport and arrogance that all those who have gone before him have shown when caught with no remorse other than squirming like worm that it wasn't his fault.

Against the backdrop of what is going on with the sport at the moment his comments trying to garner sympathy for his "ordeal" are infuriating beyond belief.

I want to see Fuentes spill everything and from a cycling point of view, bury Bjarne Riis along with Shclecks, Piti, Contador, Rodrgiuez the lot of them.

alas, i don't see it happening

People thought Armstrong had ridden off into the sunset with millions never going get caught, but he got caught.

The Spanish are going to look stupid and corrupt if Fuentes spills all but they are going to look worse if another country manages to spill all that Fuentes knows.

I have a suspicion there are lots out there hoping for the Spanish to take a fall. It could be made to happen.

Interesting that Frank had TUEs for two seperate asthma inhalers....nothing changes.

I like the "my hct was only 40%, so I couldn't have been using EPO" defence.

The UCI are bound to appeal to CAS, they stand to gain the €1.2 million fine if his ban is extended to 2 years.

Only 1 year.

Cycling proves itself to be unable to deal with doping again.

Needed at least a 2 year suspension, perhaps a life ban.

Disappointed but not surprised.

I had hoped he had gotten a two year ban. But because he is missing the Tour it is essentially a two year ban.

I have no compassion for his situation as he admitted he went to Doctor Eufemiano Fuentes for 'training advice'.

I was watching the TV news last night and to my utter amazement they had a special feature in the sports section about the "remarkable story" that is the near total dominance of Spanish sports on the world stages these days .....

Complete with film of football teams, tennis players, etc.

I almost choked on my dinner.

Anyway one possible reason for the differed lengths in their bans is that Xipamide is classed as a Masking agent and Clen as an anabolic steroid.
As I suggested earlier in the thread you can educate yourself at this site: wada

Anyway, let's hope WADA will appeal.

However if Fuentes is allowed to disclose his client's list, it could be bigger fun.

Yes, there is still some glimmer of hope the OP trial will bring out the dogies out from hiding, Frank (aka amigo de Birilo) being one of those puppies :D
