GB track team focus is Olympic medals (and worlds to an extent) . As long as they get enough points to qualify, they don't care about the other events.

the german ladies got lucky with disqualifications of competitors.
didn't look as 'roided as the men.
the ladies may well be on the juice of course, but nothing alarming there.

On a track cycling side note, I'm surprised at how poor the Aussies looked today. Less than ordinary.
Even Anna Meares seemed a bit below par.
As a whole, they aren't having the greatest of Olympics.

The difference is that these guys have always been this good, that "guy" was nowhere in Grand Tours until he came back with his new friends.

The Great British pursuit team are the best in the world at what they do and have always been, it's a specialist event for the country in the same way the Belgians are the best in the world at Cobbles, the Spanish/Italian's are the best climbers in the world etc

They aren't cheats, they are just good at what they do, always have been and only Australia can really get close to them, another country that focuses on this style of cycling.

But ofcourse the Brit's are currently public enemy #1 so must be cheating at everything

And if you could have heard the voices in the interview. Like Graeme Dott (very high). The most unsuspicious voices i ever heard of sports women = pretty normal for average women.

Michael Phelps only just made the start of his last semi final, because he was busy picking up his gold gong from a race he'd swum 15 minutes earlier.

Every evening is the same. Two or three races, two or three medal chances.

Either swimming is too easy or there are just way too many events.

It is all very well to be within the range - to have so many of one generation of athletes setting world records at one time suggests that GB have a huge advantage somewhere. I wouldn't want to declare straight off the bat that it's dope - the sports-science approach does seem to be perhaps more advantageous in a controlled, predictable environment like the track.
