i know still they pretty much sent the strongest riders they have so maybe a bit of an overkill?

Agree. Its one thing to send Valverde, who in and of himself makes the team 1 of the best in the entire race, and 2 basques.

Its another to send Valverde with the Vuelta champion, the guy who came 5th last year, a top hilly classics specialist (hilly course) and ****ing Kiriyenka who was awesome here last year, winning a stage, as well.

It isn't, this is their Ardennes classic squad. The only other preparation is the Brabantse Pijl.

It isn't what?

Also if it is their Ardennes classics squad then I am surprised not to see Visconti, as I thought he was going to be a key dom for Valverde there.

Overkill. Didn't say it was their entire Ardennes squad, but most of the names will be in it. Visconti is probably an exception. Don't know his program, but I think he will ride the Brabantse Pijl.

starting in pais vasco with almost no racedays...
that'll be..nothing
I'm not expecting from him to win the race-not even go for a stage win, since he's at wiggins disposal-I just want to see him doing his job well-and if the opportunity presents to have a go with the DCs blessing- that would be great
He will have his very own chances ahead on the season

On the back of their success so far, Endura have been invited to more high profile races. Not sure which just yet but they're looking at how they can arrange their programme.

Only confirmed invite I know about is Route Du Sud in June.

Oops, haha. Well at least they have more than 2 points.

I still can't believe Radioshack is ahead of Quick step who had 22(!!) victories at this point while Radioshack only have 2. Stage races are HEAVILY overrated in this ranking.

Good stuff. Obviously JTL is the big draw, but hopefully organisers (and others) have noticed they have some very strong other riders too.

About 16 of those victories are all from very small races though mind you. Anyway I agree with you, they should be at least level on points with them. Shack had some good results though in GC's and Cance.

What other team has won 2 WT events? Only GreenEDGE have won more I think.

Both in the WT as in the Europe Tour QS has done better than Radioshack. Don't forget they were sitting in third place at P-N before Bottle's crash in the descent.

When I see that ranking it just reminds me of everything that's wrong with cycling...

And QS only has 8 team points while Failshack has 23. QS have controlled many races from start to finish already and you're telling me Failshack gets more points in that?

Bah, this team can't die soon enough. Together with this ranking.

The ranking includes the period where for some "unexplainable" reason QS could win diddly squat (a quarter of their wins came in the hugely prestigious Netherlands Antilles championships).

And of course mentioning Leipheimer third place during a race makes zero sense as usual...

The WorldTour ranking starts at zero every year, so your point is moot.

I am not talking about World Tour ranking.

I am talking about the sporting ranking of teams used to award WT licenses.

They're from Navarre, true, but it's a team with a Murcian flavor i think, with Valverde, Rojas...
Any news from Rojas today? Was he seriously injured?

Cantabria: 4 (Cobo, Gutiérrez, Madrazo, Ventoso)
Castilla-La Mancha: 4 (Arroyo, Jesús Herrada, José Herrada, Pardilla)
Navarre: 3 (Erviti, Iriarte, Sanz)
País Vasco: 3 (Castroviejo, Intxausti, López)
Belarus: 2 (Kiryienka, Samoilau)
Italy: 2 (Bruseghin, Visconti)
Murcía: 2 (Rojas, Valverde)
Andalucía: 1 (Moreno)
Colombia: 1 (Quintana)
Comunidad de Madrid: 1 (Lastras)
Comunidad Valenciana: 1 (Plaza)
Costa Rica: 1 (Amador)
Lithuania: 1 (Konovalovas)
Portugal: 1 (Costa)
Russia: 1 (Karpets)

If we take into account where people are settled, it moves a bit more as Kiryienka and Karpets are both settled in Navarre, and Plaza in Cantabria.

Thanks for the info. I don't know why I had the impression that there were more from Murcia. Maybe because Luis Leon Sanchez used to be in the team and those 3 riders are the most influential in the team.
