This is going to be a fantastic team in anything hilly! possibility of Cunego to come means this team is fully stacked!

I'm liking this team as well. They are going to have some flexibility with team tactics in GTs as the article said, especially if the Cunego, Brajkovic, and Horner rumors turn out to be true. It'd be nice to see these guys have free reign in some races.

I just hope they have a better color scheme next year.

I think this confirms that Radioshack will be foldoing at the end of the year.

The main colour in GEOX web site does not look very promising :D

Yes, races like Dauphine or Basque for example.

FYI, Thor's "didn't do ****" quote is him responding to questions of whether Cervelo will get invites to the GTs next year without Sastre, especially the Tour, not just some random swipe.

The Hitch said:
But remember, Hushovd had reason to refuse to work with Cancellara. The previous day self apointed general director of the tour Fabian, decided to neutralise the stage, preventing Hushovd who had managed to get up in the stage, the chance of taking points on cavendish - who was much further back. I wasnt surprised the next day that Thor refused to work with Cancellara.

I wonder how much more time saxo could have put into contador if hushovd worked with them.

silly Canc. neutralising the stage even after the Schlecks had caught back on. Never get involved when its not your fight ie the green jersey battle at the tour. You can only come off bad.
And why would Hushovd pull for Schlecklette's group when Sastre was behind?

But Sastre did do **** but Hushovd is living in his green jersey bubble and will not see things outside of it. It is not the first time he has critisised Sastre in public, so "random" it sure isn't. Swipe it is.

Reminds me of Stage 12 (I think it was) when Petacchi pulled for Cunego into Côte de la Croix-Neuve, when did you ever see Hushovd pull for Sastre?

(He should have taken a symbolic pull so that he could have beaten himself over the chest without looking stupid  "look at me! me so strong!")

Hushovd did some pulling for Sastre after his solo-breakaway on stage 17 last year, before Sastre launched his incredibly weak attack and ended up losing 5 minutes or something like that :p

damn- Geox is doing some serious recruitment!!! Sastre & now Menchov.... Cunego better hurry up and sign before the team's management set their eyes in someone else....

If Chris Horner joins as is rumored now I'd say Menchov has to be top three fav for next years tour.

One of the most frequent comments from Sastre in his two seasons at Cervelo has been on his freedom to ride as he felt like. My bet is that he will skip the tour next year.

Hushovd pulled for Sastre by signing with CTT in the first place.
Horner signing with Geox is interesting. I liken him to being a mercenary and a paid assassin... and jumping ship while the dinghy is still available.:D
Geox looks to be the stacked team of 2011.

Geox will be a team to see... If Horner joins the team I will say "WTF!"... Is Horner in love enough with The Hog to don't leave a team that is already folding?

mmmm Next year:
Carlos for Il Giro - Vuelta?
and
Menchov for Tour - Vuelta?
Could that be?

If that is so, Carlos have really big chances to win Il Giro... in case that El Pistolero makes Tour - Vuelta...

Point conceded!

But I don't really think it is a matter of who is bad and who is not. It's a question of personalities, conflicting goals and team management :)
After all it takes two (and some domestiques & DS etc.) to tango.

How many GT's can one rider do on average per year? Does Sastre need some rest before his next one?

Menchov will do the Giro cause GEOX is Italian company. Sastre will Lieutenant him with options available if they should open for Sastre.

Nop... I don't think so... This year Menchov learned that If He wants to be in the fight for Le Tour (Which is his main target also for the Team) He doesn't have to ride Il Giro... so Il Giro will be open for Carlos... and in La Vuelta they can ride together with some options in the GC...

ummm no. I know he is Spanish and all, but nothing from this season indicates he is capable of still winning a GT.

I agree his racing schedule was poor this season, but I think in carlos's case, he is indeed past it.

Menchov is Geox's real threat.

Methinks, GEOX is planning to gather a team of climbers and let them all roam in the TdF 2011 (to increase their chances for victory over AC / AS) - what Radioshack tried and failed to achieve this year.
