I think MS did the right thing. What are the other gc contenders gonna do now? If they want to attack on the Finestre they either have to let their domestiques attack again on the Finestre or they have to work after the Finestre themselves. The racing situation as it was was an absolute catastrophe.

That's like half the climb. I thoguht you meant all the way up to 2000 in which case you have to start in France.

Still 7km @9% though, and dropping straight down to the start of Finestre. If you run straight up the Susa Valley it's a very similar distance to today but with a different dynamic.
