german Eurosport still believes Caruso won that stage...
So did UK Harmon. The crazy fools.
No man, no day is safe in this Giro. Not for the faint hearted or weak spirited.

Be interesting to see the "new" favourite's GC spread.

Well to be fair, I don't think we can blame the commentators for not knowing who wins the stages when not even the riders do.. (*cough* Hondo *cough*)

Evans and Vino. Crikey. They just let everything they gained in the first half of the race and then some go up in flames.

so I guess we're about to see a brand new GT classification... the tables are turned & what looked to be a lost race by many is now a promising sign of glory-God- gotta love the Giro drama:)

Evans looks devastated.:(:mad:

Cheer up. Think of how epic Evans' comeback is going to be.

I really don't care who wins the Giro as long as it's not Vino. But I still want to see one thing very strongly: Sastre in pink at some point.

We haven't hit any of the proper mountains yet. Look up Tour de France 1990 for a comparison, this race will be won by one of the big favourites still* - they just will have to work a lot harder for it and it will be a lot more interesting. For guys like Vino and Basso that won't be leaders at the Tour, they have to go full gun. Nibali maybe won't bother. Evans will look at his team and realise this may be as close as he's going to get this year so it's worth burying himself.

* or David Arroyo :D

Evans and Vino are practically without teammates and "we haven't hit any of the proper mountains yet" so they will certainly end up burying themselves if they continue ...and for nothing.

You know... I'm beginning to feel really sorry for those Italians! Still haven't got a stage-win (cep' for the Liquigas TTT-win...)
In fact the Danish comentators thought it was some Italian Katusha-rider who'd taken the stage and I was actually thinking "Well, about time they got a win..." Then... OOh... it... wasn't that guy... it was Petrov...
